This template is for recording reflections on weekly sessions covering academic and formal communication, study skills, academic sources, personal SWOT analysis, academic writing, Harvard referencing, critical thinking, interview skills, and more. The Personal Development Plan helps identify strengths, areas for development, opportunities, and threats. The goal setting section helps set targets for learning and development.

Introduction:
This template should be used to record my reflections on the weekly sessions. Please
use the spaces provided to reflect on what was discussed in class, what you gained
from the session; did you find the content useful; how can you relate it to my studies at
university as a business student. You will also need to discuss how you intend to further
develop the skills discussed in class. This is a continuous process and should be
completed during the module and not at the end.
In week 8 you will be expected to submit what you have completed so far, via ULearn,
to receive feedback. You will then complete weeks 9 to 10.
The Weekly Reflective Journal will be used in conjunction with my Personal Learning
and Development Plan and Interview to work out the final grade for this module. The
Reflective Journal and PDP will be summatively submitted in week 14 on Blackboard.
Submission of all parts of the assessment are required in order to receive a grade.

INTRODUCTION TO MODULE

The introduction to module will be conducted on the basis of reflective learning
concepts. Thinking reflectively is an essential part of this module. It provided
knowledge about how to manage the ability for developing goof research and project.
This is concluded in this module that how reflective thinking is used by a student.
Reflective thinking entails considering what has been done. Analyze the incident by
considering it from several angles. Make use of subject theory, reflective models, and
personal experience. My critical assessment of my own and others' conduct should be
applied to future occurrences. Consider what happened, what worked and what didn't,
and what you think about it. Critically evaluate and describe what you would do
differently in the future.

IMPORTANCE OF REFLECTIVE THINKING
Reflective thinking is known as concept for taking a bigger picture as well as
understanding of different consequences of a topic. It does not mean that an
individual is simplifying and writing down the future plans but also analysing what
he has done in the past. This reflects upon understanding what a person actually
wants and what he should do to achieve the goals and targets. It consists of
Delving into an individual reaction, feelings as well as emotions. Reflective thinking
as well as critical thinking is our systematic process of analyzation regarding
information and forming an opinion or making a decision. An individual keeps a
journal for writing about their own experience and making sense out of it. A person
requires right environment for writing his or her own reflective thinking. It helps him

or her to evaluate the positive as well as negative aspect of different concepts.

PERSONAL SWOT ANALYSIS
A SWOT analysis provides an individual ability for identifying own strength as well
as weakness. By using this framework, he can also evaluate the opportunities as
well as threat. This framework helps to identify the advantages an individual has.
This can include skills, certifications, Connexions, education, background. This
model helps to know how a person is better from other people. It also motivates an
individual for evaluating personal resources he can access for maximising own
potential within life. Sword analysis also helps in identifying various aspects where
a person is confident. There is also analysis of personal traits someone is having
in different fields or backgrounds.

ACADEMIC WRITING
Academic writing is known as formal style of writing which is used in different
scholarly publications as well as universities. We can encounter this type of writing
in journal articles as well as books on different academic journals. A person has
ability for using a card mix mostly in writing text intended for journal articles, books,
reports and chapters in edited collections. While writing research paper or thesis,
akademik writing is used. There are different priorities in different fields in context

of writing an individual is producing. Make writing shares specific key principles
which are intended for helping and conveying information as effectively as
possible.

WRITING SKILLS
These are very essential skills for writing an effective report or dissertation. I have
developed writing skills for creating effective researches or reports. These have
helped me to submit good proposals that will help to get good marks. Writing skills
helps students for submitting best assignments and reports. These help in
managing to provide effective way for managing the submission of dissertations.
Clients with the best skills enable me to communicate with others without the need
for a conversation or a phone conversation. You insure that readers comprehend
the important elements of what I'm attempting to send, that they leave with the
ideas and impressions you want them to have, and, in many situations, that they
take action to accomplish whatever I'm wanting people do.

HARWARD REFERENCING
Howard referencing is used for in texting the akademik researchers, proposals,
dissertations and reports. The guide details of Howard style of referencing

depends upon the advice given in citations (Sancar, Atal and Deryakulu, 2021). I
have learned that referencing in Harvard style is off to part process. One is off
citation in the text and reference list. Citation in the text is a brief indication of the
source within the text of the work that is followed while completing the project. The
reference list Is whole report or project. I have used Howard referencing in all my
projects in order to make my work more authentic and valid. Referrals can be
offered in a variety of ways. Notes are being used in some subject areas to
highlight sources utilised, although other fields prefer a style in which reference are
blended into the running text. In the fields of arts, for example, references are
frequently interwoven into the large font, although in the areas of science, source
information is typically indicated in notes. The words fundamental quotation and
semi citation are used to indicate the extent to which references are integrated into
the text.

CRITICAL THINKING, ACADEMIC WRITING AND HARWARD REFERENCING
Critical thinking, akademik writing and Harvard referencing our major concepts for
a student while working up on different projects. I have analysed that critical
thinking is very important the cause it helps in analysis as well as evaluation of a
particular issue and making up proper judgement. It includes analysis of different
facts and forming a judgement (Robert, Piemonte and Truten, 2018). Subject is
complex and there are several different definitions which exist for a particular topic.
That is why it is very important to evaluate all the figures and factual implications of
topic and Develop An effective knowledge out of it.

DEVELOPING PRESENTATION SKILLS
Presentation skill consist of informing others about the concept and aspect of the
project. I have analysed that presentation as every student has to present his or
her project in front of tutor on the basis of which They are evaluated. That is why
presentation skills have to be effective in order to get good grades. Presentation of
report is very important and it is ensured that Tutor is able to understand the
report.

INTERVIEW SKILLS – Goal setting
Interview skills are also essential for me as they help me to enhance my
competitive skills. Invite range of situations, dog capability for answering tough
questions and staying cool under pressure are extremely valuable aspect’s. When
a person is looking for a new job or promotion, interview skills plays a major role
(Ring and et. al., 2017). I have learned that if a person is having an interview in a
new organisation, the first step to be taken is finding out information about that
organisation and making a personal connexion towards the vision, mission and
objective of that company.

Because everyone will have their own perspective, many different ideas might be
developed, and I thought that the dynamic of group interaction seemed good toward
adopting something. I recognized that just about every system has strength
and weaknesses, and that working together could help you determine them. We
challenged each other's ideas about what would and would not work. They could also
examine how changing a style affected how it performed in everyday world. The note-
taking method itself was advantageous to me because it ensured that I listened carefully
and interpreted information. Not all of the information I collected was important, but
keeping track of what I found intriguing helped me develop a picture when re-reading.
However, the trustworthiness of handwritten notes on their own is questionable.
Because I rarely received permission to catch quotation marks, I had to trust on my own
quick reading, which risks warping the content. Some technical information was difficult
to recall. A recorder would have been a more accurate and dependable method. One
student, on the other hand, carried a stereo system and it was asked to turn turned in by
a partner who was frightened about her ideas being directly documented. Individuals
appear to have varying reactions to being video or photographed, thus explicit
agreement was required before using these techniques. The notes, for example, did
hardly consist of a literal transcription of what the individuals said, or even of significant
or intriguing material. The first and most direct benefit I realised has been the value of
working as a group. When cost and resources are limited, I've learned that great
teamwork is critical for design accomplishment.
