Introduction:
This template should be used to record your reflections on the weekly sessions. Please
use the spaces provided to reflect on what was discussed in class, what you gained
from the session; did you find the content useful; how can you relate it to your studies at
university as a business student. You will also need to discuss how you intend to further
develop the skills discussed in class. This is a continuous process and should be
completed during the module and not at the end.
In week 8 you will be expected to submit what you have completed so far, via ULearn,
to receive feedback. You will then complete weeks 9 to 10.
The Weekly Reflective Journal will be used in conjunction with your Personal Learning
and Development Plan and Interview to work out the final grade for this module. The
Reflective Journal and PDP will be summatively submitted in week 14 on Blackboard.
Submission of all parts of the assessment are required in order to receive a grade.

Week 1
Please describe in less than 200 words what was discussed in this session and how you plan to
develop these skills.
In this week I have learned and understand different type of business organization, in the types
of business organization I have understood types such as sole trader, partnership firm,
company both private and limited. Business can be corporation or non-profit organization. Later
in this week I have different organizational structure and marketing strategy (Arias Rodríguez,
2017). In marketing strategies there are various types of marketing strategies available to
business organization such as: product, price, promotion and place. These are basic marketing

principles or mix which allow business to segment their target market with these four marketing
principles. Later I have understood function of typical business organization which include
sales, marketing, finance, customer and suppliers, human and other resources. Later I have
understood the business environment which effect the smooth running of the process. I have
understood that a business organization get effected from internal as well as external
environment. The internal environment include, identification of strength and weakness of
business organization and threats and opportunities that revolve around the business. I have
understood that external factor include political, economical, social and technological. In this
week I have develop a skill to demonstrate my learning and understanding in the business
organization.

develop these skills.
In this weak I have learned about the taylorism which means a management system
which allow a business organization to handle and manage their business at every
essential step. This is basically a factory management system which help business
organization to break down management into various step mainly manufacturing
process which include the production and other process. Later in this week, I have
understood what is strategy in business organization. A strategy is plan that have been
designed to achieve various goals of management (Waring, 2016). Strategic plan are
also called master plan. Later I have understood the meaning and importance of plan,
plan is a detailed document which contain some important point which need to be
achieved. Later I have understood business plan process which include generation of
idea, researching, identifying the internal and external environment which might affect
the business planning process.

In this week, I have done revision of week 1 and week 2 which include the
understanding of business organization. This week has highlighted the business as a
whole and discussed various points that are associated to business such as business
motivation. I have understood that business motivation means the way an entrepreneur
get motivated and motivate others within business organization. This motivation helps
business to encourage staff to be more productive and effective within the workplace.
Later in this week I have understood the advantage and disadvantage of business, the
advantage include surplus money and other benefits whereas disadvantage include
limitation and high competition.

In this week, I have understand marketing strategy, and build a ability to demonstrate
the marketing strategies which help business organization in promoting their brand
name or the product and service (Busso, et.al., 2017). Marketing means promoting the
product or increasing the brand awareness in the market. I have learned that business
plan certain strategies to win the target market. Marketing strategies may include
product, promotion, place and price of the product. A business organization try to

and service. Marketing strategies are most important element in the success of
business organization.

In this week I have understood the meaning and importance of globalization, I have
learned that business organization should understand importance of globalization
which means taking business to trade in international market. Globalization is one of
the most important things if the business is having surplus profit in the sales of products
and service. In this week I have understood that how a business plan certain strategies
to make their business expand globally, these strategies are most important in the
process of expanding to other market. Globalization have certain benefits such as
more diverse market with wide range of customer.

In this week I have understood the formative assessment, this week helped me to clear
certain factors about the formative assessment. I have learned that formative
assessment means methods and tools which help teacher to complete certain teaching
and learning process. In this formative assessment, I am clear about the concept which
highlight the use of teaching conduct which include comprehensive and fulfilling the
learning need of student. Formative assessment are form to completing learning need
of a student. In this week I have understood that there are certain types of formative
assessment such as informal observation, worksheet, books and journals.

In this week I have understood the human resource management and its importance in
business organization. This week helped me to learn the role of human resource
management in the business organization. The HRM means management of people
and their productivity within the workplace. Every company have practice of human
resource management which allow them to be clear in managing people of the
business. A standard human resource management practice may include personal
administration, training and development of employee, recruitment and selection
process, talent and skills management and financial rewards and benefits to the people

In this week I have understood the meaning and purpose of finance and acounting in
the business organization. I have learned that finance is one of the most important part
of the business without finance a business can not grow and even can not survive the
market (Lejeune, Beausaert and Raemdonck, 2021). Whereas accounting means the
management of budget and other financial book keeping in the process of business. In
this week I have learned that a business organization can have various source which
allow them to collect investment for the growth and development of business and its
process. A business organization can arrange funds from banks, stakeholders,
financial institution, investors which even can include friends and family. I have learned
that maintaining accounting of business is not easy, a company need to have
accounting experts who will guide the business to reduce cost and expenditure and
help business organization in getting surplus profit.

culture web which include Johnson and Scholes, in this culture web employee often
interact with each other. And business organization interact with customer and the

In this report we have discussed learning weeks starting from 1 to 10, this help us to understand
importance of skills. In week 1 we have discussed business organization and its working. In
week 2 we have discussed taylorism which provide business a management guide, in week 3 we
have revise week 1 and 2. Later in this report we have discussed week 4 which highlight
marketing strategies. In week 5 we have discussed importance of globalization and in week 6 we
have understood formative assessment. Later in week 7 we have discussed human resource
management. Week 8 highlights the purpose of finance and accounting in the business
organization. In week 9 we have discussed organizational culture and week 10 provide details of
entrepreneurship. At last, we have discusses personal development plan.
