project of their choice, identifying the scope, cost and issues experienced by
the project. Students will distil lessons to be learned from the case study and
share these with the class in a presentation of approximately 8-12 mins. A
template, examples and guidance will be provided on UCLearn. Students will
need to nominate a class in which to present by week 2 or a slot will be
allocated.

Brief Description: It is a multi-purpose and under
construction sports and indoor entertainment venue
that has been started in 2012. This project will allow to
have some distance gap between the seating
arrangements and facilities for the audience ranging
between 5000 and 14000 people. The DHW
(Department of Housing) is responsible for planning,
scoping, and delivery of a sophisticated plan that is

Cost: The proposed cost for the stadium construction
was around 700 Million dollars and 300 Million
dollars was allocated for public transport works.
However, in an inquiry by the state government it
was found that the actual cost of the project was
$1.8 billion.
Timeframe: The timeframe for project was from
December 2013 to January 2018.
Constraints: As identified from the reports, budget
was the major constraint in this project as it
exceeded far more than the estimated budget. 7
