INTRODUCTION
Business organisations need to form effective strategy that helps them to attain overall
goals and objectives. Strategy can be defined as direction that a company sets to achieve a
desired state in future (Johnson and et.al., 2022). In this report, there is discussion related to
meaning of PESTLE Analysis. It is important to now about the application of model and its use
in the business organisation. The use of the framework helps to form effective strategy for
success of the enterprise. Along with that, reflection on the practical application of the model in
project and the feedback received.

What is the strategic framework you used & how did you apply is?
The strategic framework being used is PESTLE analysis. It is a technique that helps in
analysing the external environment of organization. PESTLE stands for political, economic,
social, technological, legal and environmental. It is a universal technique which is used by most
of organizations whether they are small or large to know about the external factors and their
impact on the business organisation (Torti, Vacca and Stocchi, 2018). It helps to maintain track
of aspects that can affect the operations of organization and minimizes them by taking required
actions. This tool enhances the functions and operations of the business and help them in
effective and efficient working by evaluating the macro factors. The use of PESTLE analysis is
done to know about the industry and the macro economic factors. There is need to carry on
research related to external factors in the market so that the firm is able to get ready to overcome
them (Biscop, 2018). I have used the model to check the political condition of the nation such as
stability, tax and tariffs etc. It is also important to know about the impact of Covid-19 on the
nation and the changes in operations of the business operations. I am also able to know about the
changes in needs and wants of the customers and that is studied in the social factors. It is
necessary to work upon environmental factors and work in such a manner that there is minimum
harm being caused to the environment. It is one of the important tool that assist the business
organisation to make changes according to external environment.

At the time of doing work individually, I have analysed that having good knowledge of
the framework is important to carry on the project. So I being a student, first of all developed
understanding related to the PESTLE analysis. I understood that, it is a tool or concept which is
used to keep the track of the external factors which affects the business or organisation. Pestle
stands for Political, Economic, Social, Technological, legal and Environmental factors. Pestle
analysis is a suitable tool for understanding business positions and making the best decisions for
business to make it profitable (Monaghan, 2020). There is need to work on all the aspects alone
at the time of individual project. Being a student, I have understood that the political condition
of US includes various taxation policies that are applicable on the airlines industry. There is
negative impact on the political factors on the airlines. There is need of taking support from
teachers and mentors. I faced issue of not understanding the social factors and due to which
there was delay in work. Then I conducted research and studies various articles that helped me to
carry on the work in effective manner. Then as per the aspect of the student, it is analysed that
Demographic factors are of huge importance at the time of writing social factor in PESTLE
analysis. I am also able to carry on more research related to technological factor. It helped me to
know that South west Airlines take all the necessary actions for innovation that enhance
convenience of the customers. There is need to carry on regular research so that all the factors
and their impact can be used in proper manner. By being focused and using my research skills, I
was able to carry on the individual report in effective manner. This project also helped me to
know more about laws such Resource Conservation and Recovery Act 1976, Minimum Wages
Act 1996, Equal Pay Act 1970 that is covered under the legal factors.
At the time undertaking group project, there is need of proper coordination and
cooperation that will help to achieve goals and objectives of the project. We decided to divide
the tasks and then set the target and achieve the same. But, it did not worked as all the team
members are not equally active. There was lack of coordination among all of us. Then I took the
responsibility and started leading the team. I asked all of the to conduct SWOT analysis and then
assigned them work on the basis of their strengths. It helped us to use all of our strengths an
complete the group project effectively. In future, I will always try to assign work according to

the capability of the team members. All the group members were given the task to carry on the
research related to PESTLE analysis and have deep knowledge regarding the topic. All were
given the factor and they have to write about the factors such as political, legal, economic, social,
environmental first of all. Afterwards, we have to write the impact on particular factor on the
airlines industry. It helped me to know about the conditions in US and the positive and negative
impact on Southwest airlines.
I have learnt a lot from the feedback. There is need of adding more to executive
summary that I will always assure in future so that its purpose is clear. It is important to write
the summary in the end so that all the aspects of the report are being covered. After getting the
feedback, I am able to know that the introduction of the report must be clear so that the aim of
report is understood by reading the introduction. At the same time, The use of PESTLE analysis
is being done to evaluate the external factors and their impact on business (Van den Steen, 2018).
On the other side, VRIO analysis tells about the internal capabilities and strengths of the
organisation. I will explain the meaning and the need of model in the report in future. The
justification about the model makes it strong. It is necessary to have knowledge about both at
the time of developing strategy. In future, I will carry on the industry analysis in more effective
manner. I have also not explained effectively about the current situation of the industry. I must
have analysed the problems that are in the industry and there impact on the functioning of
Southwest airlines. I lack critical evaluation skills, and to enhance the same I will read more
books and articles. There is need of evaluating the positive and negative aspects in the airline
industry so that PESTLE Analysis can be carried on properly. I will assure that all the claims are
cited effectively in my future report so get good marks. Also, I could have explained about the
Australian domestic airline sector. I must have also explained the low cost strategy employed in
the sector to better justify the report. Overall, I will work more on my academic writing skills so
that a correct report is submitted in future. The use of all the skills such as critical thinking skills,
research skills, writing skills, time management skills will help me to work properly and achieve
success. There is need of proper theoretical knowledge regarding the framework and its use on
strategy formulation. The use knowledge and skills will help to carry on the report properly.
These is key role of citation in the report.

CONCLUSION
From the above report, it is analysed that using the frameworks in effective manner helps
to complete the report properly. The use of PESTLE analysis is done to check the influence of
macro economic factors on the firm. It also helps to form strategies that will enhance the
profitability of the business. The report is based on experience related to individual report, group
report and the feedback.
