Justification: For Woolworth, as the company operates in many countries then it shows
that there is huge employees force and as result they will work as a team and produces best
quality of products that will help to raise production level. because of growing market,
Woolworth is now oldest company and cannot provide products as per the need of their
customers hence it shows that it faces tough competition (Bull and et.al., 2016). Hence, it helps
to provide better opportunity for Woolworth.
3. Porter Five Forces of Coca cola
Threat of new entrant: Coca-Cola faces medium pressure for entrance of new company
or product because the entrance barrier are quite low for beverage industry (Hine and et.al.,
2018). As there is no switching cost of their consumer and have zero level investment and as the
company have strong brand image in market therefore,
Threat of substitute: There are so many brands or energy drinks which are available in
the market but Coca-Cola have its unique taste with flavour and hence, the customers did not try
another brand (McCarthy, 2018). This shows that company have no threat regarding substitution.
Therefore, it can be concluded that the threat of substitution in it is moderate but the switching
decision of their customer may also affect the financial performance of the quoted company.
Bargaining power of buyers: Coco-Cola have no pressure on individual buyer but on
the other side, the large retailers serve large amount of products to their customers. As the
company have brand image in entire world because of flavouring taste which lead to buyers.
Moreover, company also take different advantage of their other distribution options and as a
result it reaches their own target market (Prasad and Warrier, 2016).
Bargaining power of suppliers: the company have large suppliers because of the brand
image in market. As there are many suppliers of the company such as sugar, caffeine and thus
they have limited control over the price. Hence, the suppliers have to abide with different rules
and regulation and this suggest that Coca-Cola have low bargaining power and company also
have greater affecting suppliers contract as well as pricing too.
Competitive rivalry: Coco-Cola have the moderate intensity of rivalry as it faces tough
competition with Pepsi and on the other side, soft drinks, bottles water have limited market
share. Moreover, other company did not have the potential to affect the strong brand image in
market such as Coco-Cola but Pepsi can do (Eskandari and et.al., 2015).
