Introduction
In marketing and business studies, a number of concepts are applied to
the practical operations of a business to define its strategies and
functioning in the market place. These theories are known as ‘marketing
models’ or ‘marketing theories’. Marketing mix, supply chain, SWOT
analysis, and PESTLE are some examples of marketing models. This
assignment would be examining an organization’s PESTLE or macro
environment and would be discussing how PESTLE applies to its overall
functioning.
The organization selected evaluation of the marketing models in this
assignment is the UK-based multinational retailer of groceries; Tesco Plc.
Tesco Plc is the leader of retailing in the United Kingdom with 6,553 shops
in total across the country. With subsidiaries like Tesco Bank, Tesco
Mobile, Tesco Lotus and more, its annual revenue amounts to
£55,917 million. (tescoplc.com, 2017)
