PHD APPLICATION2 Question 1 The areas of interest in research in this field include; better software’s that can be used in the medical sector, the functioning of the new technologies in different sectors and solving the financial crisis by use of the software. I was inspired to research in these areas because I have worked in the health care settings hence have realized the problems being encountered in that sector. Developing that software’s will solve many problems like if the technology is used the workload to the nurses and doctors will reduce. Also, I will also find means and ways to improve the technology in that individuals will be given care at a low price. It is important to research this area because after developing the software’s many problems experienced in the health sectors will be reduced (Vom Brocke, Simons, Riemer, Niehaves, Plattfaut, and Cleven, 2015). Question 2 I selected a Ph.D. in information technology so that I can explore more by being creative. Studying Ph.D. will enable me to develop much software and also have creativity in problem- solving. Moreover, I need to utilize the opportunity I have in learning because I enjoy being in the field of information technology. Furthermore, I have enjoyed my academic work, and I feel I have much to offer as an independent researcher. Also, I have a passion for exploring more this because this field has different career paths. University of Cumberland’s is the best known to offer all essentials in information technology. It was the first university in the state to offer block chain technology, meaning that it is the best (Spezi, 2016).
PHD APPLICATION3 Question 3 For the strengths; I believe I have excellent communicating and writing skills. This is because I think that my field needs someone who can demonstrate his professional by putting his or his ideas. Having this it will help me manage the load of information required for the Ph.D. research hence producing a good work eventually. Moreover, I have the passion for learning more and hence I believe that in the PhD programme this will help me doing research on the fields have selected. On the other hand, am not always organized, but I will improve this by taking advantage of the classes being provided before enrolling in postgraduate doctorate. Moreover, to improve on this, I will seek advice from my mentors so that they can advise accordingly (Tarhini, Arachchilage, and Abbasi, 2015). Question 4 The field of information technology has become an essential component in the world we are living today. This means in future all the traditional information technology will be dealt away with. This means that barriers to access any information will be gone because of the development of the new tools. Moreover, in future intelligence technology will be developed hence giving opportunities for the new strategies. After obtaining a Ph.D. in the University of Cumberland, I will take advantage of what have learned to develop my projects with my expertise and enthusiasm. Moreover, after obtaining the Ph.D. I will make sure have used the skills learned in the university to develop new technology tools which will be used by many in the future generation (Schmidt and Cohen, 2015).
