This report discusses and responds to different photojournalistic images, including subject matter, information about the photographer, context, comparison and contrast, and reflection. The images include a crying girl on the border, an old man in an orchard with a weapon, and a woman protesting against police discrimination.

INTRODUCTION
The photo journalistic images are basically focussed to an individual person or an
incident in which individual can explain what is happening in the picture (Allan, ed., 2017). This
report will determine the images with their subject matter and information about the
photographer further context and comparison will be evaluated with its reflection.
Subject matter
Crying girl on the border
The subject matter revolves around a small girl child who is crying in-front of US official
authorities and police van is also bought by border officials. This incident is taking place in the
night. The girl look frighted by the official people (Nilsson, 2017). This image is captured in low
light and showing the emotions of the small child all the objects and person are clearly visible.
Paradise lost
This portrait present an old man who looks depressed and emotional less standing in the
orchard of pomegranate with a weapon. The gun which he is holding in the picture is looking
like weapon of a war. This image is focussed to the man standing in orchard fearless. The photo
is captured in the day light in natural environment without any filter or effects.
Taking a stand in baton rouge
This picture subject revolves around a woman standing on road and two police officer are
trying to remove her from her place. The people in the surrounding are looking this incident, the
women is black and the officers are white. Her expression looks like she need justice about some
things happened wrong. This picture is a landscape image covering all the details which is
needed and having adequate light.
Information about the photographer
John Moore
John Moore is a senior staff photographer to gretty image and worked as a photographer
in more than 65 countries and six continents (Balakrishnan and et. al., 2019). Further he mainly
worked of immigration and border issues, in these rewards are also given for the breaking news

photos on global level. The purpose behind his photo is to show the behaviour of US official
towards the immigrant which is controversial.
Valery Melnikow
Melnikow is a usually takes documentary photographs and making efforts to put his
photos in the north Caucasus newspaper. He also gets different awards from press on
international level and the reason behind his photograph is to show how the people feel when
they are dissatisfied with some particular thing.
Jonathan Bachman
photographer have started clicking photo of sporting events for a particular press and now
he is working as a freelancer in photojournalist (Li and et. al., 2020). Jonathan mostly cover the
sports events and breaking news the reason of this photograph is to show how black are
discriminate in the white people society which is totally unfair.
Context
This incident is held in the year of 2018 when the US authorities have made the rule of
zero tolerance to the immigration who are coming illegally in the united state. When this action
was held then it becomes a big issue that immigrate not have to be treated like the way they are
being treated. After this the board authority of united states make some rules in which the people
are not treated like a criminal, and they have some conditions to enter the boundaries of US. The
Yanela and her mother Sandra Sanchez are also not being separated and the policies made by the
president of united states are being modified (Yang, Holden and Carter, 2018).
The Valery Melnikov was a recent case in 2020 in which the people of Ukhatasar,
Nagorno-karabakh have been faced lots of uncertain and vast condition due to war between the
Azarbaijani and Armenian in this there are regular and periodic military clashes. So in this the
people who are near by the place of war are have to face different issues and some of which also
died due to this. Therefore this photograph show the unwanted loss of people who are near to the
war place and when this photograph is taken then the government take responsibility of the
people and the affected people are also got some amount of money that will help them to
overcome with the loss (Koć-Januchta and et. al., 2017).
The stand in Baton rouge is took place in 2016 in which an lady named as Leisha Evans
have taken the step to stand in the rally against the police to stop their unfair behaviour towards

black. In the 2016 there are many black man who have killed by the police without any reason so
the Evans had done a protest when the Alton Sterling have been died. This has been more viral
everywhere due to which Evans has been released by the police initially on the time of really
police has been arrested Evans. After this incident the black and man discrimination is reduced
with large number.
Comparison and contrast
The above three image themes are totally different from one another because in the first
image is presenting a small child girl who is crying in-front of his mother because they are being
separated by US boundary officials (Iankova and et. al., 2019). Second image is showing an old
man handling a gun in orchard where people come for peace. Third image shows a lady who is
protesting again the police of US who are doing discrimination in black and white people. All the
themes are focussing on the different aspects as in the one theme there is emotional feeling as a
main element to focus, conflicts and war situation are presented in the second theme and in the
third theme discrimination is shown an explained. All the photographer are also worked in the
different forms of photos like street, portrait and photojournalism are click this photos. One thing
which is common in all the photographer is that they are awards internationally (Nilsson, 2017).
All the image are click in the different atmosphere and conditions one is click in night so it is not
that much detailed. Another one is click in sunny whether so it is capturing more detailed way
and one is captured in cloudy whether which is also effective to take all the required contents.
There is basically no link or similarities in all the three images as all are telling something
different and more important. In all the three image there are different process and want to
convey their individual aspects and situation.
Reflection
According to my perspective the picture of crying girl on the border is presenting the
rules that the US authority has been made for the immigration people. As this is not safer for any
country to let the immigrate to enter the in their boundaries. This image is also quiet emotional as
a small girl is crying and the officials are not still remain rude with them. In the second image the
condition is presented of the local people and how they are affected their lives due to the
conflicts between the countries. They need to carry weapon with them at every place to protect

them in the uncertain conditions. This is being very bad that people can not able to stay safe, and
they feel uncomfortable at their place so this is being totally unfair. In the third image lady is
protesting to get justice about the man who has died by US police so the police can not kill
anyone without any reason so according to me this is not the right practise (Allan, ed., 2017).
They should treat the people equally whether it is black or white.
CONCLUSION
This report concludes that the different images have different matter of subject, and they
are taken in different surroundings. All the picture show different emotions of the people and can
also change the situation for its future.
