Asia Pacific Physical Education Conference is the event, which occurs annually for physical
education and sports science teachers in the Asia Pacific region .The aim of this conference is
to deliver high quality pertinent professional development for the physical education and the
sports science teachers. It delivers the opportunity to learn from leading global authorities in
physical education and thus concentrates on networking with the peers and spread good
practices. APPEC conference focuses on improving the learning of the student by including
the presentations on the themes such as pedadogy & curriculum, wellness, sports and
coaching and technology in physical education. This conference offers the deep insight from
the board of World Class experts (APPEC, 2018a).
APPEC provides the opportunity to participate in highly rated pre-conference workshops and
develop the highest physical education network in the Asia Pacific Region. It provides the
personalised experience to the participants and delivers the gainful insight about the physical
education. The main aim of the organization was to connect teachers and K-12 school leaders
to share the good practices.. The report covers the comparison of the conference held in the
year 2016 and 2017 plus the stakeholders, the impact of technology, the critical issues faced
in the event and the comparison between the two years conference (APPEC, 2018a).

The conference focuses on constructing workshops that provides learning to the teachers to
insert yoga in their physical education class, which helps in strengthening the minds of the
students. The event majorly focuses on imparting the use of technology in PE classrooms so
that the physical educator can work effectively and handle the student data more efficiently.
It provides the opportunity to the participants to reflect their role as PT teachers with the main
aim to develop the physical literacy among the students and provides the deep understanding
of the fundamental principles of a quality PE program. This conference helps to connect the
physical literacy and the physical fitness assessment. The presenters under the conference
believe to provide the personalised experience to the participants by providing them with the
assessment tools and develop their own assessment practices (Asia pacific physical education
conference, 2016(APPEC).
The stakeholders are the individual or the group of individuals who actively participates in
the operations of the business or have interest in the outcomes of the organization (Bourne,
2016).They help the organization in achieving its target and overcome the hurdles that come
across the events. They can participate either from outside or inside the event. The
stakeholders ensures that there is proper implementation of the activities and alter the
necessary changes (McGrath and Whitty, 2017).
The stakeholders of the event include over 300plus attendees and 135 international private
schools have participated in the event. The local council members of Hong Kong and the
participants were scattered from 29 countries. The main purpose of the conference is to
develop the physical literacy among the students so that they can create their own fitness
assessment. This conference helps the physical education teachers to gain the valuable

insights and thus develop the effective ways to impart technology in their functioning, which
therefore leads to achievement of the task in efficient and effective manner (APPEC, 2018b).
The venue of the Asia pacific physical education conference is Hong Kong International
School. The sponsors of the event were Samurai, Playerlayer, Spikeball, Affinity, Hudl, and
Tennis (APPEC, 2018c).
Asia Pacific Physical Education Conference (2017)
The conference is design to encourage the conversation between the representatives and the
participants. The themes covered under conference are Pedadogy and curriculum, wellness,
sports and coaching, and technology in PE. The location of the conference is 1 red hill road
Tai Tam, Hong Kong. It covers certain events like 21CHLK, GELS, APPEC, and Teach
Meets. The stakeholders of the event include over 331plus attendees and 156 international
private schools have participated in the event. It included the local council members of the
country and the participants were scattered from 30 countries. The major participants who
attended the event were physical education and the sports teachers of the leading private and
international schools of the Asia pacific region (21st Century learning international, 2017).
Stakeholders are the individuals or group of individuals who gets affected from the outcomes
of the event. They actively participate in the event from either outside or inside the event.
Some of the sponsors of the event 2017 were Parkour for schools, Gopher, Super Park Hong
Kong, and College pro. The exhibitors were Hart sports, Schools Buddy, Hong Kong golf and
tennis academy. The supporter of the conference was Escapade Sports, Cathay Pacific. The
major stakeholders of the event were the presenters of the event .The stakeholders of the
event receives the high quality conference kit and provide them the opportunity to explore
long day workshops, which includes yoga, technology for physed, outdoor leadership and

taping. This event provides the stakeholders with the latest tools or the products in physical
education (Business Dictionary, 2018).
The Asia Pacific Physical Education Conference helps the stakeholders to focus and learn
from the different conference themes and shares the experience of the World Class keynotes
so that the physical education teachers and learn from their peers and apply the latest
technology and learning’s in their classrooms. This conference focuses to deliver a valuable
customer experience. The event delivers effective tools at the workshop for the physical
education teachers and uses the social media to connect all the physical education teachers.
The presenter at the event delivers the understanding of the Google drive through sheets,
docs, forms and multiple add-ones to provide the deep understanding to the PT teachers and
can transform the workflow. The use of technology gave the power to the students through
flipped learning and helps in connecting the parents who works for full time through live
sports carnival. The presenter shares the platform known as plickers to connect the
participants with the educator leading from USA to provide greater learning. It also
encourages the participants to use the instant replay apps and gifs to increase the presence of
feedback throughout the classroom.
The presenters in the event provides the understanding of the use of twitter account to
connect the PT teachers and delivers their experience across the worldwide which generated
the new ideas and helps the teachers to deliver greater experience across the world (Brown,
and Penney,2018).
The use of technology helps in logistic delivery by connecting all the teachers around the
world and providing the platform to share their experience and learning the new ways to
deliver customer satisfaction.

As discussed in the above paragraphs the use of technology provides the superior experience
to the presenters as well as participants as there was easy flow of information and it delivers
the greater experience to the stakeholders by providing the gainful insight and enhances their
delivery of experience.
Impact of the Event
The Asia Pacific physical education conference leaves a positive impact on the physical
education teachers and participants from the different international and private school. It
allows the participants to introduce the elements and principles of Parkour in their
curriculum, which leads to development of fitness, coordination, and confidence among the
students.
The event focuses on providing Gecko Yoga programme for the students of school to inhale
positivity in their minds and improve the functioning of the students. Integration of yoga into
student’s daily life improves the health and the well-being of the students. This event focuses
on telling the new techniques of tapping and strapping skills, which helps the PT teachers,
coaches to stabilize a joint using the most appropriate techniques and helps in solving the life
complications. This event focuses on guiding the participants through a process of creating a
comprehensive, skill based health and wellness curriculum for grades K-12. This framework
will leave the participants to use the resources and provides the proactive solution to the
issues like stress management and mental health, nutrition for the multicultural students,
sleep, mindfulness (SCHED, 2017).

After the discussion in the above paragraphs it is analysed that Asia pacific physical
education conference 2017 is more successful than 2016 because the stakeholders involved in
2017 were more as comparison to the year 2016. The conference in the year 2017 involves
more of physical education teachers and athletic directors with the main aim to promote the
health and the wellness of the students. The event focuses to deliver the personalised
experience by facilitating them with the pre-conference workshops and providing them with
them gainful learning. The conference in the year 2017 improvises the participants
experience by smooth functioning of the activities and ensuring that all the activities are in
line to the schedule pre-described. The conference aims to involve the practical application of
nutritional decisions in order to change the habits and the lifestyle of the students and parents
and thus promotes the health and wellbeing of students, parents and staff. The sponsors in the
event 2017 were more as compared to the year 2016 because of the performance and success
of the event on the previous years (10times, 2018).
Legacy of the Event
The Asia pacific physical education conference leaves a positive impact over the years
through continuous improvement in the delivery of experience. It is analysed that the
participants i.e. parents, students, international schools gets highly influence from the
workshops and the presentations and thus achieve a personalised experience with overall
efficiency in its operations.
This legacy of the event is maintain by exploring the opportunities to carry the event outside
the Asia pacific region through improvising the processes of delivering experience and

spreading the awareness regarding fitness among the youngsters and all the age groups. The
event focuses to spread its operations outside Hong Kong and among the sports and fitness
industry to make the people aware about the various methods to improve the health and
wellbeing and thus involving technology to improve the efficiency.
The event focuses to increase the participants and the presenters by providing the workshops
that delivers the practical experience to the physical education teachers so that they can
implement it in their classrooms and enhance the experience of the students.
Thus in order to maintain the legacy of the event APPEC the organization must focus to bring
the continuous innovations in their functioning and the presenters in the event must provide
the valuable insight to the participants so that the interest of all the stakeholders can be
maintain and the success of the event increases in folds.
Issues of the Event
The critical issues faced by the organizers were to have proper flow information among all
the schedule activities to secure the interest of the participants and assuring that proper
facilities are given to the participants. The main issue was the attendance of the participants
that the organizer faces and staying on the track was the critical issue. The problem faced by
the organizers of the event is the shrinking budget as planning, implementation of the event
leads to shrinking of the budget, and the budget increases due to application of various
activities. The implementations of the activities must be in line to pre-determined schedule to
avoid the delay in implementation (BB Blanc, 2018).

Asia pacific region and leads to professional development of the physical education teachers.

and deliver good practices to protect the interest of all the stakeholders and make the event a
success.

Recommendations
The awareness of physical fitness is increasing among the youngsters and the other
age groups. Therefore, the organizers must focus to reach to the small areas of the
Asia that remains untapped and must explore globally to create a connected network
of the PT teachers. This will help to make the event more successful.
The event must bring continuous innovations in their activities to increase and protect
the stakeholders of the event. Presenters must provide the easy methods and deep
understanding of the use of technology so that the participants can improve their
working effectively.
The process of the event in lengthy and thus reduces the interest of the public. The
organizers must focus to create a simple procedure to register and reduce the
complications in the process. All the activities must be in line to the pre-determined
schedule.
