Jive DanceIntroductionAs cities across the globe grow larger and attract more people, the need for physical educationand exercise is on the rise. Today city residents find themselves working long hours seated at theoffice desk after which they go home and rest. The lack of Physical exercise has become a majorconcern and being liked to serious medical conditions affecting city dwellers across the worldtoday[ CITATION Plo07 \l 1033 ]. While most cities have parks and gyms that can be visited toexercise, many people simply lack the interest to indulge in physical exercise, citing it as boring.This makes it important for communicate alternative forms of physical activity which are notclassified as exercise but deliver the desired physical activity. One such activity is the Jive danceand especially “the dip move” which allows people to indulge in learning and participating in thedance activity which in turn allows the participants to increase their physical activeness and behealthier.The Jive DanceThe Jive is a dance style which involves a combination of foot, body and hand movement whichrequire being well coordinated by a duet so as to deliver a well-coordinated and choreographeddance. Steps That Help the Dancer Benefit In the Following WaysLearning To Balance You MassThe jive dance allows the individual to master balancing their body mass than allowing for evendistributions of weight across the body. This result in the jive dancer developing a stream linedslim body.Balancing Force during DanceIt is vital to master balancing the amount of force one uses while dancing to avoid over exerting or hurting themselves or partner through the applications or too much force to support the dance partner.2
