The section also talks about the same for the proposed network. Then description and analysis of current network setup and proposed network infrastructure is detailed where it describes the network configuration that involves obtain network from edge router and using the 3 layered hierarchical network design to make the core, distribution and access specific services available. In these sections, the report also explains how the AML has been using their web portal and how it wishes to use it through the proposed network in the future. Then the report briefly describes the IP address allocation process as well as subnet calculation and lists down the tables for the current network layout and proposed network infrastructure respectively. Thereafter the report ends by providing observations in the conclusion section.

3PHYSICAL NETWORK OF AML Introduction This analyses the requirements of the company AML which stands for Advanced Medicos Limited based on which the description and presentation of the physical topology designs of the current network setup and the proposed network infrastructure are provided (Cavraro et al. 2015). The report starts with a brief background of the institute AML is given, after which the report enters the requirements section (Libura et al. 2016). Here the full requirements of the medical institute AML is provided including layout of the company headquarters, the different departments available in each building, the various networking and hardware requirements of each department located in the buildings. Thereafter the report ends by providing observations in the conclusion section. Discussion1 Brief of the Organization The digital health institute Advanced Medicos Limited or AML is in the business of selling healthcare products. By healthcare products AML refers to a variety of health related services that they have been offering (Robert et al,. 2015). The key difference being, so far AML has been providing healthcare specific services over through traditional methods like

Networking Topologies The various networking topologies used to implement the enterprise LAN network of AML are LAN, WAN and WLAN. These topologies are illustrated below: LAN Figure 1: LAN topology diagram

8PHYSICAL NETWORK OF AML Logical Design Figure 3: Logical design The logical design explains how the network is acquired from ISPs, routed through respective routers, distributed through multilayer switches and accessed by devices from switches of each floor.
9PHYSICAL NETWORK OF AML Description and Analysis of current setup Figure 4: Current physical setup The current network involves the company AML acquiring internet services from the servicesproviders(ISP)(Hanafizadeh,HatamiandBohlin2019).AMLreceivesthe connection through the edge router after passing it through a firewall device. This edge router then routes the connection to the routers of buildings B and A which provides the connections to the distribution and access layer switches (Wang, Chen and Yu 2017). The multilayer switch obtain the network from the router and distributes it to the switches of the respective floors (Gifre et al. 2018). The switches of each floor are responsible for providing access to individual devices. These individual devices include workstations and printers and also servers for building B. Since building B serves as the server farm it comprises of four servers for catering to the networking and communication needs of the four departments.

10PHYSICAL NETWORK OF AML Communication between the two buildings is carried over the web portal that is run through the Local Area Network established between the two buildings (Du et al. 2017). The web portal is only available for internal use by the company AML and is not accessible by other users over the internet. Since the building B and A are 20m or 100ft apart, the network can be sustained by regular Cat 6 Ethernet cabling. Description and Analysis of proposed setup Figure 5: Proposed Network Solution
11PHYSICAL NETWORK OF AML The proposed network makes some noteworthy changes. Apart from receiving the connections through the edge router and routing it to the respective router of different buildings and branches to provide connections to individual devices, the network involves installation and use of wireless local area network connectors in building B and the branch. Additionally, the branch network is added to the overall network. The branch network comprises of two departments positioned in three floors of the building and also supports BYOD services and hence requires WLAN connectors for providing wireless services (Patel and Upadhyaya 2019). Here also a multilayer switch obtains the network from the branch router which in turn gets it from building B and then distributes it to the switches of the respectivefloors. Theswitchesof eachfloor are responsiblefor providingaccessto individual devices. These individual devices also include workstations and printers and also servers for building B. In this proposed network, not only additional workstations and printers are needed, the building B which acts as the server farm requires five more servers. This is because the server is now requiring three servers specifically for web hosting, email hosting and file sharing. Other than that the building requires one server each for the 6 workplaces of the four departments in the two buildings and the branch. Here communication between the two buildings is also carried out over the web portal but this time it is hosted by the web server at building B and is available to customers through the internet. In this way online appointment and availing of healthcare services are facilitated. Since the building B and the branch office are 100m or greater than 300ft apart, the network cannot be sustained through regular Cat 6 Ethernet cabling (Goergen et al. 2019). For this Cat 6A Ethernet cabling will be required.
12PHYSICAL NETWORK OF AML IP Addressingand Calculations The IP addressing method used for facilitating network connections for the individual devices of the network is Classless Inter-domain Routing or CIDR as this one is more efficient than the older classful IP addressing scheme where shifting from different classes would result into massive differences in available address spaces (Koura, Zhang and Liu 2017). CIDR offers smoother transitions as smaller differentials in IP address spaces can be noticed with help of incremental changes made to the CIDR value (Huang and Wang 2018). Thus CIDR prevents IPs address space from getting wasted.
