There are certain individuals who experience pain because of different medical conditions. It has been researched
that consumption of opioid-containing medications can reduce the prevalence of pain in individuals. Hence,
pharmaceutical companies have been manufacturing medicines containing opioid to reduce the incidence and
intensity of pain in patients (Corrigan & Nieweglowski, 2018). It is for this reason that overdoses of opioid have
been observed in the population for which detrimental health effects have been reported. Individuals have started to
feel addicted to opioid and find it difficult to come out of the addiction.

responsibility to leaving the

by the epidemic caused by opioid.
Identify the allocations of
financial and other resources
that the current and two
previous presidents dedicated
to this issue.
In the Budget of President Trump
throughout the following two years,
$13 billion is to be channeled in
endeavors to battle the opioid
epidemic. Moreover, the
administration intends to affirm $6
billion throughout the following two
years to finance programs planned for
fighting utilization of opioid.
However, in spite of big funds being
allocated, it is not clear as to how
much did the firms really receive at
the end.
The President's FY 2017 Budget
adopted a two dimensional strategy
to address this epidemic (Williams
& Bisaga, 2016). It incorporates $1
billion in new compulsory
subsidizing more than two years to

President Trump's Initiative to Stop
Opioid Abuse, disclosed in 2018, is
standing up to the main impetuses
behind the narcotic emergency
(Humphreys, Caulkins & Felbab-
Brown, 2018). One of the points is to
instruct Americans about the risks of
opioid misuse by diminishing the
stock of illegal medications by taking
action against the global and local
medication supply chains.
Prescription Drug Abuse Prevention
Plan was introduced by President
Barack Obama to educate the
individuals about the dangerous
side-effects which are likely to be
experienced by administering opioid
drugs and also monitoring the
overall usage of the drugs for the
treatment.
President Bush made sure to
implement these actions with the
help of collaboration from other
interprofessionals in the country
such that the health outcome of the
patients is not compromised.
