Producing an idea to address lack of employment within Ethnic Minority EventGraduate Student in Event IndustResearch Tltle' 'To assess the problem oflack of employment within Ethnic Minority Event Graduates in EventIndustry"Chapter 1 : IntroductionThis Capstone is to assess the problems of lack of employment within Ethnic Minorityevent graduates in event industry. Event business contributed to UK economy size andstructure as well as skills, however, event organizer workforce have issues of recruitmentand retention (Peoples 2009). On the contrary, the situation of lack of employment withinethnic minority has been an issue in most industries especially in the event industry of UKThis has made so many questions to be asked about what could have been the causes ofthe lack of unemployment. This capstone projects will provide information about thecauses of the lack of employment within the ethnic minority event graduates in eventindustry in the UK and how employment can be made available. In the process of thisproject, the key characteristic inquiry of a case studies. Literature review description willbe used to critically analyse and evaluates relevant text in relation to the research question(Richardson, 2015). However, this literature review will be a continuation through thewhole period of any data collected and analysis to the end of final document. This reviewwill differentiate what other academic researcher opinion or view has been written andwhat need to be done to carry out a rationale. Increasing unemployment is the commonconcern of modern era, which is occurring due to a range of factors such as discriminationbased on minority, ethnicity, race, beliefs, background etc. Further, there are markeddisparities in wages and working area of diverse people in industry (Dickinson, 2014).However, the study is focused on addressing issue of lack of employment within ethnicminority which is marginalised group of society which category of people who areidentified on their similar beliefs, languages and values (Kasim and Ali, 2010). These areindividuals who aim at representing ancestral culture, values and beliefs.

As per the graduation index of this group, it can be said that these people graduate butare less likely to be employed in comparison to their batch mates. Disparities among thesegroups are marked on different basis such as, race, beliefs, religion, caste, history etc. Asper different studies and employment rate index, it has been determining that thesegraduates struggle for more than 3.5 years for getting employed while the white group ofindividuals get jobs instantly.Apparently, as per unemployment statistic of 2012-12 UK, economy, it has beendetermined that there are only 4% whites who employed in comparison to all other groupsthat is 16% Pakistani, 12% Black Caribbean 22% Bangladeshi, 6% Chinese and 7% Indian.Further, minority ethnic group in the UK is twice unlikely to be employed as Whites. There_are 45% jobs less in UK, which comprises group of young black, Bangladeshi and Pakistani(Siebert and Wilson, 2013). The study focuses on evaluation issues of lack ofunemployment of graduates of Ethnic minority in event industry.This research especially focuses on unemployment in event industry because it is theservice sector that is based on innovation, creativity and development. In this industry,involvement of diverse types of people can assist in making services unique andsatisfactory. Similarly, it will help in developing knowledge overevent industry that is a broad service sector as its functions are based on uniqueness andinnovation (Preuss, 2015). Thus, the research is for academic purpose and therefore willassist in developing critical understanding over unemployment in event industry of UK.'J Ethnic minority is a term used for a group of people that are within a community that hasdiverse cultural or national tradition from the main population ((Karlsen and Nazroo, 2002).The correlation between graduate event student and education performance has been a greatinterest. However, the provision of ideas that would be reached on to address the issue oflack of employment within ethnic minority in event industry will be provided by thisproposal. The issue is crucial to my carrier, as event student aiming to graduate very soon,and would like to get a job after graduation. Event is a broad industry that demand skillscompetence from graduates before entering the job market. In fact, providing solution totackle the difficulties that most of the ethnic minority event graduates experience becauseof unemployment, made this proposal possible. Pensions, UK, all minority ethnic groups has higher level of joblessness (91%), 46% forPakistani and Bangladeshi graduates and 46% for black graduates (Flap and Volker, 2008),understand utilization of limited job resources in event.Scope of study_Scope of the research is broad because the study is based on analysing unemploymentof event graduates from ethnic minorities in Event sector. Event is a wide concept and itswhose success is based on combination of unified and differentiated idea to makeinnovation in services. As per academic knowledge, it can be said that event requires amillion of options to service client satisfaction. Therefore, the study will help in addressingunemployment issue in event industry.Structure of Capstone Project ResearchChapter 1: Introduction- This chapter in Capstone project helps in developing briefknowledge over the research aim and objectives. Further, it helps in deriving concepts ofunemployment in event industry conduction this study. However, it can be said thatintroductory chapter of research frames base for all other chapters.Chapter 2: Literature Review: This chapter is based on collection of information andanalysis from secondary sources, where the focus of researcher is on identifying differentviews of author. This phase of research helps in boosting knowledge over the core conceptsof research topic. It helps in deriving reasons and factors, which are giving rise to problemsof unemployment with event graduates of Ethnic minority.Chapter 3: Research Methodology: In this chapter, determine the use of differentmethodological tools which helps in making study systemic and reliable. However, it isbased on outlining tools, which are used by scholar in the entire study such as researchapproach, design, data collection, analysis etc.Chapter 4: Discussion and Evaluation: Evaluation of collected data is the part of thisCapstone research project which helps in outlining conclusive results. However, in thisstudy, the researcher will discuss and evaluates secondary collected information. It willassist in framing accurate findings based on different articles, journals, books andpublication.Chapter 5: Conclusion and Recommendation: It is the last chapter of Capstone researchproject that helps in outlining the concept to be covered in the entire research. However, inbetween 2012 and 2013, there was a situation when unemployment levels of ethnic groupgraduates and normal group was on the same level and it remained constant (Blossfeld,Hamerle and Mayer, 2014). Nevertheless, suddenly there was rise in employment ofdomestic and white graduates, which demonstrated the scenario of disparity andmarginalisation of groups.

Chapter 2: Literature ReviewEmployment Rate in event industryAccording to Siebert and Wilson, 2013, it has been analysed that employment rate is amajor concern, which derives number of individuals involved in the same industry. Eventindustry is unique sector whose services based on innovation and client satisfaction. It isthe sector where it is essential for owners to have variety of opinion on one project. Themajor concern of the industry is to make cost effective plans and innovation for managingbudget, client satisfaction and profits.As per Britain Recession: Finding from economic and social research 1965, that it hasbeen identified that ethnic minority is the common reason of lacking employment in eventindustry (Williams Powers and Foa, 2010).This disparity among people according to theirreligious beliefs and ancestral backgrounds is the major cause of inequality due to whichunemployment rate specifically in event industry increasing (Dennis, Phinney andChuateco, 2015).As per Rising unemployment for UK's ethnic minorities: who 's affected?, 2014, the rateis 46% for young Pakistani and Bangladeshi workers and 45% for young black peoplewhich clearly represents the disparity.
