INTRODUCTION
Use of mobile technology is increasing day by day. In the recent time people use
mobiles for their each small work. Kids like to use it, as they play games, use social sites
which is interesting area for them (Gupta and Irwin, 2016). Many students fail to concentrate
on their studies due to excess use of cell phones. Study will examine the future of mobiles in
classroom learning space. It will explain role play by mobile phones in classroom. It will
make arguments on use of mobile devices in near future in classrooms, it will also focus on
Future for mobile devices within schools or within learning space.

A) Role do mobile devices play in classrooms
Mobile phones have become the essential part of society now days. In the recent time
many students are bringing their cell phones in their classrooms. They keep it in their pockets
or begs. They check their whatsup again and again and make chat with their friends (Green,
2019). This creates bad impact on their studies and disturbs others as well. Hence many
authorities have taken serious action to ban cell phones in schools. Phones play the role of
disturbing element. When teachers give their lectures and make the students aware with
particular topic at that time if phone rings then it distract other students and they lose their
focus from study. Most of the learners spent most of the time in texting friends and using
social media in classrooms.
This tool destroys life of students as well. Learners have no knowledge about right
use of cell phones, they use it for enjoyment. But when they become addicted of it then they
start using it in wrong manner. They access information from Google while giving tests. That
means it encourages then to cheat in classrooms. Apart from this cyber bulling is another
drawback that is increasing due to high use of cell phones in class rooms. Hence it is the
problematic device for kids in learning space (Gupta and Irwin, 2016).
B) Public views on mobile devices in classrooms
In this technological era many people use such Smartphone in their daily life. Public
believes that use of cell phones in classrooms is helpful for students because they can use
learning applications (Mobile phones in the classroom: teachers share their tips, 2020). This
helps ion knowing more about their subject areas and asking new questions from teachers as

well to develop broad perspective. Many teachers have view point that they set guidelines
and send to all students which help them to complete their task in significant manner. But
there are other perspective as well that cell phone disconnects the learner from others. As in
classrooms many teachers create playing environment in order to develop cognitive,
communication skills among kids. But if they have mobile phones then they start using social
media while playing games or start clicking pictures to upload on these sites. They fail to
purely focus on games. Hence use of class room is not so good option because it disconnect
them fin classroom and they fail to gain or raise skills that should be developed by them in
this age.
C) Researchers on use of mobile devices in learning
One of the researches conducted in 2016 “hold the phone high school students”. In
this research it was focused that most of the students fail to focus on their studies if they are
using mobiles in classrooms, as it has negative impact on their studies hence it should be
banned in classroom (Gupta and Irwin, 2016). The research reflected that many learners use
this device for text sending, cyber bulling and cheating. They do not use it in accurate manner
hence it is not good option to give students mobiles in schools. In the year 2015 one research
was done “ computers in human behaviour journal” that reflected that students those who are
using phones in schools are unable to perform well in their academic life. This is badly
affecting their academic performance to great extent. They use it on frequently. Hence either
they have to behave responsibly or have to leave using cell phones in schools. In the year
2015 Green has conducted investigation as well on the same subject area where they found
that students have behaviour to use phones to text their friends. And those who text
frequently gets low score in schools (Green, 2019).
In 2017 one more study published by cognitive psychology where it is found that
when learners are allowed to use cell phones in classrooms then they gain less knowledge.
And if person is not using it then individual pays more attention in lectures that raises their
knowledge about topic (Lee and et.al., 2017). If they look in phones against and again then it
distract them from studies and after certain time period they get engaged in wrong habits. As
it develops societal gap and they fail to interact society with friends and families.

Future for mobile devices within schools or within learning space might reasonably be by

There are various kinds of future prediction tools that can be used for development of
future prediction of usage of mobile devices (Heflin, Shewmaker and Nguyen, 2017). These
tolls can help in analysing what future of usage of mobile devices holds within schools or
leaning space. Future triangle map is one of those future tools that can help in making
prediction. It is a kind of forecast method which is mostly used to identify futures that are
emerging between a riptide between pull of the future, push of the present and weight of past.
With the help of this tool current usage of mobile devices for students within learning settings
can be analysed so that its future usage within schools or other learning settings can be
predicted. This tool consists of three major parts: pull of the future, push of the present and
weight of the past.
Pull of the future: This majorly focuses on issue which is being examined. Here discussion
of usage of mobile within learning space and its impact upon students and teachers is
required to be discussed (Shorfuzzaman and et. al., 2019). Excessive usage of mobiles can
impact students in a negative manner. Due to increasing development and usage of new
technologies is increasing usage of mobile devices within classroom settings. Mobile devices
also helped in enabling education regardless of place and time. If it is used in an appropriate
manner. In future increase usage of advance technology can help in expanding dimensions of
education in a better manner. With time education level has also increased. Mobile devices
have helped in increasing the accessibility of study material as well. Usage of mobile devices
can help students to learn virtually by attending online classes while sitting at home.
Push of the present: there are various kinds of forces that are pushing or increase usage of
mobile devices within learning space. Advancement in technology has changed the way in
which educational system used to run i.e. today most of the courses, syllabus is being
distributed to students with the help of technology. Usage of mobile devices has also
increased within students because of today most of the people are completely dependent upon
such devices (Ji and et. al., 2016). These devices have also helped in enhancing connectivity
for students and teachers. Mobile devices have also helped students to access study material
from cloud storage of the school regardless of their location. Usage of mobile devices today
are also helping students to resolve any kind of doubts without any kind of help from teacher.

Weight of the past: But achieving this future is a bit difficult because there are many
problems that are required to be resolved first. As usage of mobile devices for students is not
always fruitful (Tebkew, 2018). Many times, such devices works as distraction for students as
instead of engaging within the studies, students engage themselves within other activities like
playing games on mobile etc.

From the usage of this tool it can be concluded that future of mobile devices in
schools or in a learning space is quite bright but it is used in an appropriate manner. Mobile
devices can help students to enhance their learning capabilities as well. Such kind of devices
provide various kinds of resources which helps the students to enhance their learning and
problem- solving capabilities. But it has some negative impacts well upon students. It is
important to explain correct usage of mobile devices to students so that they do not mis use it
and do not get diverted from their studies.
Preferred future for mobile devices usage within elected learning space
Despite of various kinds of improvement within educational sector there are various
kinds of improvement that are still needed to be focused on. According to me future of
mobile devices within learning space is quite fruitful for both students and teachers if it is
used in an appropriate manner. For teacher’s usage of such devices can help in conducting
online test for students regardless of student’s location (Virtanen and et. al., 2018). Not only
this, teachers can also analyse students who require to pay more attention and topic that are
not understood by majority of class students. So that they can bring improvement within their

teaching method. Usage of mobile devices within learning settings is also important for
students as it helps them to access learning material online without any issues or problem. If
students have difficulty in understanding any topic then they can use external online
resources as well so that they can enhance their learning and understand the topic in a much
better and appropriate manner (Gros, 2016). Usage of mobile devices can also help students
to attend online test and assess their current performance so that they can understand what are
the tings on which they need to pay more attention. It has also increased an option for schools
to provide online courses for their students so that they can attend optional online courses as
per their interest and convenience. Not only this, with the help of such online courses even
parents can keep a track upon their children’s learning progress. But with this it is extremely
important to make students understand usage od mobile devices so that they do not misuse it.
If students are not made usage of mobile devices understand then they can use it for some
other purposes that can further impact their overall studies like they can use mobile devices
for playing games instead of studying. They can use for cheating in online test despite of
honestly giving test. So it can be said that future for mobile devices usage within elected
learning space is quite bright but there are some factors that are required to be focused as
those factors can impact overall learning of the students.
CONCLUSION
From the above assignment it has been summarized that usage of mobile devices
today has increased in many ways. It is not only used by adults but it is also used by kids as
well which is impacting studies of students both positively and negatively. Many students fail
to concentrate on their studies because of excessive usage of mobile. Not only this, due to this
excessive usage of mobile many students carry mobile devices within classrooms or learning
space. It has also been analysed that correct usage of mobile devices within an organization
can be helpful for students. It can also be helpful for teachers as usage of mobile devices can
help in development of a broad perspective for both students and teachers. It has also been
analysed that there are various kinds of tools that can be used for predicting usage of mobile
devices with learning settings or classrooms.
