Introduction
All throughout my 12 weeks placement at alnassr Irons company, I was fortunate enough for
getting a chance to experience prevailing and new concepts associated with the field of
engineering and gained knowledge related to several different aspects that are related to

operates. It also helped in knowing different divisions along with the people leading them

Week 6
After completing week 5 and understanding the pay structure and policies of the company, it
was now time to understand my project in great details. Reflecting back on this week, it was
certainly one among the highly memorable days of my project. Subsequent to being
introduced to all the team members, I was handed over the project details, in which I was
asked to provide recommendations for improving specific areas of the project wherever I
observe fit and my perspective on the project in general. The team members were quite open
as well as happy for me to make contribution as much as I desired to and also, were open for
any ideas and suggestions. This instantaneously made me feel comfort and made me feel as
though I was important fraction of the team. In this week of work finishing the tender, I was
flabbergasted through the work and the accountabilities, which assigned to me, nevertheless

Week 7

felt as if I had an input directed for the progress of the expanding corporation. There were a
number of days, which were highly occupied when a tender deadline required being met or a
client needed something finished on urgent basis, and such days were highly stressful to the
level where there were situations when I required staying back for completing the work. This
in few manners reminded me about my late night studies at university and the way how when
within the workplace, it has remained same.
Week 9 and 10
Throughout these weeks I also held the chance of obtaining a ‘white card’ (i.e. construction
induction card) for being permitted on the work site. Moreover, this is also considered as
being an important aspect of Engineering that I was happy I had the chance for experiencing.
I was offered the chance of going on-site with senior civil engineers as well as labourers. My
accountabilities involved locating underground provisions and ensuring that any region,
