Reflective Diary 1)Preparation Week One(Placement Launch) Learning Experience: What did you do? What did you learn from the sessions? How well do you think you participated? As the agent I first searched for the agency in which I want to be placed. I have learned about CV development in order to apply for the placement as the desired requirements in person specification. I have also learn about different agency and warehouse. I participated whole heartedly and actively in all the activity during this session. What went well? What went not so well? Why? How can you assess this? The interaction with the instructor of the placement launch and other members of the team went very well. But the my catching power to grab everything quickly was difficult for me as the session was fast with so much for learning. I assessed this through my note taking skills as I was not able to prepare the key points quickly. What did you learn/achieve? Which employability criteria does this event impact upon? Have you changed how you feel about your placement? If so, how? How do you want to be perceived on placement? As the agent communication skills are very necessary therefore, during this this session I developed my verbal and written communication skills. This skills will impact my functional skills as an agent between the agency and IPS contacting company and and also build my confidence for having good communication skills. Yes, I have transformed my thought's from nervousness to the confident person. I want to be perceived as quick learner, confident aqnd effective personality candidate in placement. Reflection: How will this experience be used for your personal development? What do you need to do or know before you start? What practical actions can you take before your placement?
This experience will help me adding new knowledge and experience to my personal growth and also add new skills for my personal development. I need to learn more about the CV building, skills required for the work of agent in warehouse company. I will work on my negotiation skills. I will try to work on my note taking skills as an agent. Reflective Diary 2)Preparation Week Two(Placement Launch) Learning Experience: What did you do? Have you enjoyed working in mixed groups? In the next session I attended other activities to improve my abilities and to gain more information related to the interview process and how to introduce myself in front of interviewer. In this session we performed in a mixed groups which I enjoyed very much as this help me in understanding my team working skills and also help me in understanding others perspective. What went well? What went not so well? Why? How can you assess this? Do you feel more confident about starting your placement? In this session of group activities everything was very interesting and fun. I learnt through peer and peer support. But meanwhile I also faced problem in interacting with all the members in the same language I was facing a language barrier during the communication. I realized this when I was more interacted with people with same language. Yes, I definitely feel more confident about starting my placement. What did you learn/achieve? Which employability criteria does this event impact upon? What have you learned about your personality preferences? What attitudes or behaviours will help or hinder your placement and how? In this session as the agent I have learnt and developed my team working skills in the diversified team which is highly important for this role when I will required to work as team player between the two parties. This will impact my collaboration skills and team working skills. I have learnt that personality is more extrovert and I easily indulged with the people and make them feel comfortable in interacting. I helping and interactive attitude and behaviour towards my team members will help in my placement as this will exhibit my team cooperation and collaborative attitude.

This whole session has provided me a memorable experience as while working in mixed group I met so many people which helped me in building networks. This team working skills has improved my personal growth. I expect that employer will cherish and try to foster my existing skills and use my capabilities optimally. I want a support of better verbal communication and understanding between each other as an agency in order to fulfil the demands of suppliers. I want to achieve the skills to represent myself confidently among the corporate experts. Reflective Diary 3)Placement Week One(On-site Placement) Learning Experience: Tell us a bit about your placement. What is the organisation, what does it do? Where is it based, with how many staff?Are you clear on your role/project/targets? This placement is about the agent recruitment who can work there as an agency. The name of the organisation is IPS contacting based in Wolverhampton. The company is the warehouse company that has service of co- pack operations. The staff of the organisation are flexible and work as a team. What went well? What went not so well?Why? How can you assess this? How did you approach your first week? What impression do you think you made? What are you excited/confident/nervous/worried about? On the first day of the on ā site placement people were polite and highly supportive. I faced the issue in understanding the large area of the organisation and their system of co- packaging in different segments. I can assess this through my review of whole week. I approached my first week at the on-site placement positively with full enthusiasm. I was able to make a good impression of my personality among my employers. I highly worried about my next week as I will be assigned with y responsibilities. What did you learn/achieve? Which employability criteria does this event impact upon? What might you have done differently? How confident did you feel? What could help you? Do you know where to go for support? Have you contacted your Placement Tutor? I have learned about the new techniques of packaging in the warehouse and also as agent how to communicate as a dealer between two organisations. This will impact on my functional skills and my power of learning. I would have prepare a pre schedule before reaching to the company in order to stay updated about my duties rather than wasting my time their in preparing the chart sheet for the work. I was not confident as I was very nervous. The motivational speech from my employer and co-workers. Yes I went to HR manager for the support. No I didn't contacted my placement tutor.

Do you like the working environment you are in? Why? I am enjoying the daily visit at the IPS contracting and meeting with new people and learning about new things. I am highly enjoying the flexible team working criteria of the organisation. As an agent I met the CEO of agency as well as IPS contracting and also I have met many workers an experts of operational department. I work effectively with the workers of the IPS contracting. Yes I love the working environment because all the colleagues are collaborative and supportive. What went well? What went not so well? Why? How can you assess this? Do you have review meetings scheduled in with the employer? Do you feel underworked/overworked or is the workload just right? Could you meet with your supervisor to ask questions, ask for more support, clarify workloads and set realistic deadlines? In the fourth week of the on- site placement my learning as an agent where going well but I faced an issue related to the workload was bit more. I assessed this through my performance as I was not doing quality work in order to provide the quantity. Yes, I have a meeting scheduled in with the employer. I feel over worked. Yes I can meet the supervisor to ask questions and to clarify my workload. What did you learn/achieve? Which employability criteria does this event impact upon? What might you have done differently? What skills are you developing? What are you doing for the first time? What are you noticing about yourself? I have learned about the performance evaluation and self assessment during the course of actions. This will impact my performance as an employee and help in summative feedback. I might have regularly assessed my performance and observed my drawbacks early. First time I havecommunicated with the employer and supervisor for the performance evaluation. This experience is by far most learning experience that has helped me grow as person and also provided growth to employability skills for my personal development. I will analyse my previous weeks work and then design action plan for next week to enhance my shortcomings. Have you brought any new ideas to the organisation? What are your key achievements so far? I am enjoying myjourney as the agent in the warehouse organisation as this helps me enhancing my operational skills also. I am also enjoying the working environment and its people. Yes all the people in the IPS contracting treat each employee as the part of big team that kept me motivated in work. Yes, I wasvocal for my opinions and suggestions. Area 3: note making skills I have daily prepared a chart sheet for maintaining the record of the warehouse stock with the agency. What is your reflection on this feedback? Is it what you hoped for? The supervisor has provided me with the apt feedback for my performance during the employment period. The supervisor has appraised my achievements and demonstrated me as a hard working employee of the organisation. The supervisor has also given his reference in the feedback in order to provide me with better opportunities in future. The feedback was totally what I expected. How has this placement changed your career aspirations? What would you like to do for the Level 5 placement? This placement has changed my career aspiration from agency to the warehouse operator as the field is interesting and will provide me more learnings and growth.
