INTRODUCTION Determination of goal and engaging efforts toward the goal will lead to its achievement. Personal development plan will also assist an individual to grab it’s goal (Anderson, Ford and Hamilton, 2017). Likewise, evaluation of sources with regard to the references of the report is also an important aspect that will lead to raise in the reliability and validity of concerned references. This report will discuss about the various types of goal and its accomplishment along with an evaluation of sources. TASK-1 Personal development It refers to the development of personality of an individual. Personal development will enable an individual to have an access of its skills and efficiency along with setting up of goal of its life which it want to achieve (Tattum and Tattum, 2017). It is a long life process. Professional development It will lead to the development of professionalism and professional qualities along with skills in an individual. Professional development is related with the career and professional life of an individual that will assist it to have an accomplishment of better career opportunities (Mackay, 2017). Under this the more emphasis is given over development of skills and it is also a continuous process. Short term goal Goals are the end result on which an individual direct it’s activities and efforts that will lead to its achievement. Short term goals are those that can be achieved in a short span of time and short time duration (Lee and et.al., 2017). Short term goal are easy to achieve and can be grab within a week or a month. Example: develop the habit of exercise regularly, improving the habit of not wasting Time, development of morning schedule of yoga are all counted as short term goal which raise value in an individual life and can be achieved in short time too.
Medium term goal These goals require more time for achievement than shirt term. This are also a valuable form of goal that will direct an individual to grab its aim. (Coplan, 2019) It will lead to development of an individual. It is usually achieve within few weeks and months or year too. Example: passing graduation exam with high marks, develop communication skills, build leadership qualities are all considered as medium term goal because of the involvement of a bit longer time duration. It will enable an individual to move towards its career path. Long term goal These goals are usually achieved in a longer period of time. This are like the end results over which the entire efforts of an individual is directed. Here an individual achieve the aim or objective of its life (Lam, and Zhou, 2021). In short it is a phase where an individual grab the aim of its life. For example: buying a home, own a business or defying high position job or build a good professional career in a specific sector. These all are counted as long term goal because it will be achieved by devoting a long span of time. Here an individual grab everything which it dreamed off. Personal development plan It refers to a plan that includes various activities and steps which will lead an individual to direct its efforts towards the accomplishment of its main aim and objective. It will lead to the development of an individual in terms of grabbing the aim of its life (Day-Calder, 2017). Here a detailed plan regarding the career and achievement of aim of life are being prepared. It will lead to bring clarify in the mind of an individual which will direct it towards the aim of its life. As it is a plan which is solely based on the grabbing of end results, so it will make an individual to realize it’s dream and convert it into reality.
