Introduction
In this paper, an analysis of the PMI Code of conduct and professional conduct methodology has
been done. This performed under the light of certain concepts and aspects published by different
authors. The project that has selected for this paper is the implementation of ERP Software with
an organization premise.
Project Description
The project is regarding the implementation of ERP System within an organization. ERP
software comes with advanced work integrations which further promote the speed of work with
higher accuracy. Therefore, it can be said that ERP Implementation within an organization will
support its functioning by adding features of advancement.
Part 1
Application of Professional Responsibility within Project
The professional responsibility is known as an obligation of a project management or a lawyer to
adhere and follow the rules and obligations to maintain professional conduct. In order to
implement the project in the desired manner, it is the responsibility of the project manager to
maintain professional conduct within its working (Daniels, 2014). With the help of such
professional management of project avoid bugs and errors within the ERP system
implementation process and assure effective working by implementing within required timeline.
Responsibilities of “Responsibility to the Profession”
The "Responsibility to Profession" is considered as a model code of ethics for the project team.
This principle mainly declares that it is necessary for a project manager or its team to maintain a

trust in their profession. According to this ethical conduct law, it has been declared that it is a
responsibility of project manager to acknowledge awareness, knowledge, and understanding of

responsibility of a project manager within a single project (Crystal, 2017). The below-mentioned
are some basic responsibilities under this principle:
Be trustworthy or truthful in every situation

Disclose interest conflicts
Support the code
Comply with laws
Give respect to intellectual property rights of others.
Application of “Responsibility to the Profession” within Project
This principle will prove highly significant for the project of ERP Implementation. According to
this principle, the project manager of a project will delegate role and responsibilities to the
concerned individuals and maintain their professionalism by following a code of conduct within
project practices (Habel, 2016). On the other hand, the principle of "Responsibility to the
Profession" will guide project manager in maintenance and monitoring sound emotional,
physical, and mental health necessary to performs roles and responsibilities of business
professionals and concerned employees. Therefore, it can be said that this principle supports
project outcomes by enhancing and improving the project manager or other employee's
knowledge and awareness level.

assigning. Whenever the project manager assigns the tasks to its employees, he or she can follow
all these basic responsibilities to ensure project effectiveness.

There are a large number of violations that can identify within the area of ERP system
implementation. The first and the foremost variation is associated with the project manager
decided to appoint an individual to complete the project on a timely basis. The second variation
is that it is the responsibility of project manager or his team to adhere all principles and rules that
have been developed for dealing with a project (Garg, 2015). The last and final variation is that
both sides the client, as well as the project team, should clear about the progress of a project and
its issues. If everything is clear in the project, then there is less probability of conflict within a
