INTRODUCTION
Police are the group of people whose work is to impose laws, assist in the emergency cases,
solve crimes and protect all the property. There are many duties which are handled by a police
officer like to promote and conserve orders of public, to protect internal security, to control
terrorist activities etc. Police workforce are well trained officers who are trusted by the
government officers by maintain the peace of public and order, prevention and detecting all
crimes. This report is made on the basis of police workforce and recruitments in England and it
covers all the schemes whereby all recruitments of police in England must be educated to degree
level. This will also covers importance of degree and education for this sector and the way of
impacting this field (Wankhade & Patnaik, 2020).

TASK 1
Schemes regarding police recruits in England.
Recruitment in police sector has a process through which an applicant should pass through and
the individual will get selected in this field. Police workforce are working in a partnership as
they are serving to the communities that maintains various rules and regulations made by the
government, protect every members of the public and property, investigation of crimes etc. were
handled by these recruiters. For the recruitment in police workforce, there are mainly three
schemes in England:
Police constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA) - In this, a recruiter should choose three- year
level 6 degree training that includes both on and off job internship (Mouhanna, 2020).
Degree-holder entry- Here, a recruiter should have an undergraduate degree in any of the subject
which is supported by this job learning. It may take minimum two years to finish the probation
period.
Pre-join degree- In this scheme, if a recruiter have not been to any university or college then a
person will embark on three year BSc professional policing and following shorter period of on
job training.
