Moreover, the Solomon`s Island strategic location is around active volcanoes that constitute almost a large percent of world earthquakes, which leaves people in such areas without homes. Natural disasters, political instability and migration of displaced people make poverty in Solomon`s Island a thrilling issue. Impacts of poverty on Solomon`s IslandPoverty leads crime and other anti-social behaviors, especially by the young people.Poor shelter due to land constrain. Most of the poor people live in slums which are in badstates and congested (Maebuta, Helen, and Jack 2009, p. 119-129)Reduces individual well-being. Minimal contribution to the economy. Many poor people wants to save and utilize the little they have (Govan et al., 2013). Strategies to solve povertySocial protection for individuals who are under privileged like children, the disable and the elderly.Firm commitment in facilitating environmentally sustainable development projects. Proper environmental practice reduces pollution on and maintain resources (International Monetary Fund 2012, p. 79Appropriate utilization of land resources and delivery of land related services.
