Introduction
Schlumberger Corporation remains to be the global dealer of international oil together with
exploration of natural gas. For instance in its 2015 annual report, it was indicate that
Schlumberger bought Cameron another natural gas firm for US$14.8bn (2015 annual report
Schlumberger, p. 6). Therefore, primary focus of this report is to examine Schlumberger’s 2017
annual report, taking into account the key thematic concepts underpinning the entire report
(Corporate Social Responsibility, sustainability, corporate Governance, citizenship, and
transparency) Additionally, this study examines the difference and similarities in corporate social
responsibility, reputation management, corporate boardroom organization and management
between Schlumberger and other industries. Moreover, this study analyzes different methods of
planning and organizing efficient implementation of corporate social responsibility, reputation
management, corporate governance, and boardroom organization and management. The research
finally analyzes behavioral problems arising from work organization and methods to mitigating
them in the context of corporate social responsibility.

As per the integrated report of 2017 of the company, Schlumberger Corporation focuses on the
supply of petroleum organizations with varied services. Some of the services that this company
offer or provides to others consist of seismic acquisition, fine testing with directional process of
drilling, information evaluation, cementing of well, well completions, stimulations, management
of data together with software (‘Schlumberger fined for violating sanctions with Iran and Sudan’
2015, p. 6).
Furthermore, Schlumberger Corporation involves its activities towards extraction of groundwater
along with capturing of Carbon and storage organizations. The company also conducts its
operations in 85 nations globally. The large market where the company offers its operations has
made it have approximately one hundred and eighteen thousand employees (Baloochy, Marvast,
Shokri, and Kakavand 2018, p. 379). Besides, this company operates mostly on the international
ideas that generate the significant number of generated revenue during its operations in dealing
with exploration of natural gases and other useful elements.

Corporate social responsibility (CSR) remains to be the type of global business self-regulation
that Schlumberger Company uses during its business operations. Schlumberger Corporation is
committed to excel in every operation that they do in regard to exploration of natural gas and oil.
