Professional Biography
Stanley Kariuki is a Registered Nurse, currently working as an RN case manager at
Mission Hospice, Murrieta, CA. At the hospice, Stanley provides safe and competent care,
evaluation and implementation of care plans for individual patients, assesses home care needs,
and provides quality care for patiuents. Stanley also documents current and ongoing assessments
of patient status, and perform blood draws. Stanley has a strong commitment and dedication to
nursing, which he demonstrates through his skillful interactions with patients, and colleagues, and
his competencies while working individually and in a team. Having worked in a variety of clinical
settings, attending to diverse patients, Stanley considers himself an experienced nurse with a
unique keenness to detail, and flexibility. He is also disciplined, an effective time manager and a
dedicated nurse, owing to his experience in the US Navy.
Nursing Philosophy
My nursing philosophy is based on the belief that as a nurse, I should provide patient-
centered care that focuses on understanding the needs and preferences of patients and their
families. My philosophy is that patient-centered care is anchored on continuous learning to
understand emerging care options, changes in nursing standards of care, and existing strategies for
nurses. Therefore, I have committed to uphold personal education, through enrolling for various
nursing programs, personal readings and research. Extensive education ensures that I provide the
best available information to patients and their caregivers. I also believe that I have a duty to
protect patient’s information, and only provide the right information to the right people.
