Summary
The e-portfolio is an effective way of expressing the views in the systematic manner and in the
well illustrated form. This E-portfolio will highlight those sections in which students generally
feel problem and the sections where students can utilize his/her strength to get the success in the
academics. The main purpose of designing this e-portfolio is to provide the guidelines and
motivation to the student to work on these problematic sections and get success in the University.
It will provide a mechanism to the student to perform the self analysis on their own work and
recognize the main areas where the scope of improvement is highly required. Along with this e-
portfolio will provide the scope to identify the own interest and work on those areas.
This portfolio will contain twelve pieces of work that puts a great impact on any academic work.
The twelve sections that are going to be covered in this portfolio area as follows-
Reflective learning.
Mogadishu: 500 word assignment.
Research skills.
Mind mapping.
Referencing and plagiarism.
Sentence construction.
Using capital letters.
Improving reading.
Presentation skills.
Critical thinking.
Academic keywords.
What is the tense.
The above points will help to cover the studies in the better way and will help me to get the
success in my academic course in the University. Universities have their own academic
requirements that they require to be fulfilled while submitting the assignments in the University.
Plagiarism is an un-ethical activity which comprises of presenting some -one else work or ideas
as own with or without the consent of the contributor. This activity stimulates the academic
misconduct and it is one of the major challenges the Universities are facing to maintain the

academic integrity. These Universities through their academic policies and course structure has
set guidelines for other universities in worldwide too. U.K Universities have developed strong
policies to cope with this issue. The critical thinking helps in giving the required rationale and
arguments for designing the academic work. It helps in developing the logical approach while
doing the academic work. It helps in developing the understanding of the proposed work. It
provides a systematic approach for the Evaluation, synthesis , analysis , application,
comprehension and building the knowledge framework for the study. Presentation skills is very
important for academic writing , the academic works such as paper, thesis , annotation, abstract ,
reports has a well defined format and students are instructed to complete the work in that
prescribed form . Many universities provide templates and guidelines for performing the
academic work
As I am doing a business management course and my aspirations are to become a business
manager, it is up most important that my presentation skills are exceptional. By learning about
this topic in this module: on what presentation skills entails and how to conduct a successful
presentation, I am now more confident in my presentation skills. Although, there are areas of my
presentation skills that I lack, I was able to identify them and work on my weakness.
