The current portfolio comprises of a number of vital concepts to have a better insight and
understanding about selected topics. The current portfolio consist of discussion about the note
taking and sources of information which support effective learning (Chandra, 2017). Beside this,
the concept of plagiarism, paraphrasing and plagiarism along with presentation skills are also
disused in current assignment. A descriptions related with the reliable and non- reliable
information of sources are also made along with analysis of referencing and presentation skills.
Note-taking
It basically represents the practises and process of recording information from a set of
various sources and available platforms. Note taking comprises of process where an individual
listen to a speaker and tries to write down all the important facts and notes dictated by them in
order to remember these facts for a longer period along with keeping them for use in future
(Chandler, 2017). Therefore, Note taking is important to keep a record of vital information and
required knowledge studies and gathered from universities or other sources of information which
assists better knowledge and information for future purpose and further use also. For instance,
the example notes are taken by students when a lecturer is taking and teaching about some
assignment, at that time of class or activity, notes are taken by student to record all vital
information provided by the lecturer about an assignment which can be used by them to recall
these facts in future and leads to look back at the key points which assist better study.

It mainly comprises and consists of the origin and places from where data can be collected
or gathered by an individual. The main sources of information comprsises of Books,
Encyclopedias, Magazines, Databases, Newspapers, Library Catalog and Internet. The sources
are mainly reliable or non-reliable out of which reliable sources comprise of one that provides an
antithetic set of information and carried proper copyrights and all required information about its
author and year of publication (Ghiasi, 2019). Further, an analysis can be made out that the
reliable sources of information are mainly provide up to date and most trustworthy and credible
form information, the examples of reliable sources comprises of websites, books, and articles
along with Scholarly, peer-reviewed articles or books -written by researchers for students and
researchers. On the other hand the non-reliable set of information comprises of a poor design or
