INTRODUCTION Portfolio can be said to be a summarised account of the experiences that an individual go through. It can be recalled later just by having a looking and thus provides assistance to an individual in maintaining records of their experience as well as learning in an effective manner. The below mentioned project is a reflective account of an individual which consists of 3 sections. The first section is the reflection presented over performance in the group presentation and the module so far. The second section talks about the academic and professional skills with a scope of improvement. Lastly, a development plan has been made to facilitate improvement in skills and making self compatible for personal and professional development. Reflect on performance in the group presentation and in the module thus far in the form of a reflective statement indicating what has been learnt, aspects that went well, aspects requiring improvement and how can apply the relevant knowledge in the future In this I will be reflecting my performance in a group presentationwhich brought a number of changes in me. There were a number of things that I came to know from this presentation I also gained knowledge about a number of topics which will help me in future. Deep analysis was done regarding all the advantages as well as disadvantages of aspects which I need to improve in order to make sure that I can achieve success in future. While I was working in a team during the presentation, I came to know that my communication skills are not up-to- date. Are you somewhere like in communicating effectively with others? Slowly I came to know of a number of ways through which I can involve others in interesting communications and influence them with my performance. Now I have gained a number of interpersonal skills which help me in communicating with large groups without any hesitation. I also came to know that my personality is of a powerful person who can easily influence others towards themselves. This has also helped me in developing my personality as well as my academic performance. I also came to know how important is time management skills for an individual. I improve my time management skills through focusing on all the task and activities that are needed to be performed by me.I am now divide all the work required to be done by me into various small steps. I have learnt to maintain a to do list of all the steps along with the time required to complete the steps. After all these are completed by me I also maintain a checklist which helps me in rechecking the work which I 1
have completed so far. The work which I do mention in my to do list according to their priorities. This helps me in completing the most important task at first it also make sure that I do not leave any of the task behind while focusing on the most priority is important to be completed first.This time management skills will help me to develop my future in a great way. Along with this during this presentation I have also improved my cooperative skill of working in group with a number of individuals. I alsoalwaysfound thatit was easy for me to work on my own rather than working in a team.Slowly during this representation I came to know how difficult it is to cooperate in a group. I gained leadership skills while working on this presentation which helps me in cooperating with others.I was the first in group to accept all the responsibilities and challenges in a group and divide the task amongst everyone in a group. There is an importance of leader in a group as they are the one motivating everyone and thank you reading them to work towards their goals. I was quite an effective leader throughout the presentation task. There were also a number of mistakes made by me during this presentation. However, I learned from my mistakes and made sure that I try a task again and again before making that perfect. This will help me in future in facing all the problems which arrive to me. I came to know from this task that I need to be more adaptive and required to improve my skills. It is necessary that one is always ready to face challenges and respond effectively to them. I have come along to discover a number of new opportunities and always help others. These developments have helped me to gain a great experience and stand for future. I have effectively improved my team work skills while working in a team and gaining a lot of knowledge about value and beliefs of different team members. Teamwork helps in building a positive working relationship with everyone in the team it also helps in completing a task effectively.Along with this I also worked on my problem solving skills through which I can display analytical as well as logical abilities which I have. This problem solving skills will be very helpful for me in my corporate profession as well as my daily life. Through facing all these challenges I will come to know how can an individual work under pressure. Decision making skills are also an easy shall part in human life. It is important that a leader is always ready to take decisions and do not hesitate in applying those decisions. As a leader of my team I made sure that problems to all the decisions were taken immediately keeping in mind the view of all others in the team. I also came to know that it is important for an 2

Forming a rigid structure will never help an individual. Other than this I am also a good listener which is a strong key to be a good communicator. Along with sharing my ideas and points it is also necessary to listen to what others have to say about my views. I am also very self-motivated as I face every challenge which came to me in a positive way and make sure that everyone around me remains positive and motivated as well. All these knowledge, understanding, skills and learning helped me to efficiently manage all my communication skill, interpersonal skills and time management skills while completing this presentation. The areas (academic and professional) that needed to develop further- In accordance with the discussion done above, I can say that my personality tends to lack two main skills, namely, problem solving and communication. Both of these skills tend to play a crucial role in the life of any individual in personal as well as professional context. Problem solving and communication act as key for an individual to attain success in future course of time. The development or enhancement of these weak skills would provide assistance to me in attaining my professional goals. In this relation, it has been acknowledged that communication skills are important for an individual in order to be able to express one’s views and opinions in front of other people. Communication is regarded as the key to ensuring that the delivery of one’s thoughts and ideologies take place in an effective manner in front of others, assisting them in deriving the results they intended to achieve in the long run. This skill will allow me to develop healthy relations with people around me in personal and professional context. In the professional context, this skill assists in developing effective bonding with the team members thereby ensuring the timely accomplishment of goals and objectives of the team as well as the organisation. Besides this, in relation to problem solving skills, this is important for an individual to resolve the difference of opinion that underlie between two or more individuals or to deal with any other issue. It can be said that leveraging problem solving allows an individual to ensure the development of a positive atmosphere whereby the team members work in harmony with each other, while resolving their inter personal differences. Problem solving skills also assist a person in dealing with the issues that they encounter in their personal lives. Thus, both the skills are quite important for an individual to achieve success in the long run. 3
Develop an action plan Evaluation of the weak areas of one’s personality becomes quite important for them to identify their shortcomings which hinder them from achieving their desired goal and objectives within due course of time. In this relation, action plan can be identified as a way through which an individual seeks to undertake measures that can guarantee the improvement or development of certain skills or knowledge in a person. Thus, the shortcomings identified by a person can be effectively dealt with by way of developing an action plan. Now, as per my analysis, I lack 2 of the most important skills in professional context named problem solving and communication. Thus, the action plan will allow me to set targets in relation to both of these skills and ensure that these are achieved in the time frame set at the time of devising the skill objective. The action plan consists of information like name of targeted skill, current proficiency, targeted proficiency, objective, development activities and time scale. encountered by them or the team. CONCLUSION From the above research it can be concluded that management of time is important for every human. It is seen that if an individual can manage their time effectively it becomes easy for them to achieve success in future. Time plays an important role in fulfilment of goals and objectives. It is necessary to complete the task on time rather than just completing it. Similarly communication skills also play an important role in development of an individual. The following report concludes individuals can make an action plan and efficiently develop the required skills in them. 5
