The essence of this chapter is focused on the positive impact of globalization in different
businesses functionalities. Globalization is referred to as a business windfall to the consumers
and the business owners and to the business owners at a time. Though, in current days some of
the businesses are facing risks due to backlash against globalization and also the opportunities
which enhance degree of economic freedom offered although, there are profound flaws in
globalization.
The modern reasonable, capitalistic as well as economic actions have become a
conglomerate of factor and cause, analysis, information, medium, skills and predispositions. In
order to minimize the business operational and functional barriers different business presents and
manages different projects. An accurate project plan including quality, communication, risk,
resource, scope, time, cost management plan is also developed in this section. Apart from this, a
WBS and a Gantt chart defining timeframe is elaborated in this chapter.

The aim of the assignment is to recognize and identify the positive cultural, economic,
cultural as well as ethical impact of globalization on various business functionalities such as
operation, marketing, HR, organizational accounting etc.

After analyzing the project details of the project it is determined that the project will be
accomplished within the estimated cost of $5,000.

The globalization is leading to enhance competition as well as financial shifts for improving the
emerging business operations and functionalities. It helps to promote international business
relationship, global inter dependency and also cultural awareness. In the emerging market new
strategies are required to be evolved by the project heads of the business organizations to ensure
the commercial success and competitive advantages. The scope of the research is to determine
the positive economic, ethical and cultural impact of globalization on various business functions
such as accounting, HR, marketing etc.

The total time that has been estimated for the project is approximately 3 months.
1.2.4Quality plan
Quality of any project is referred to as one of the major assets for its success. It is very
much crucial for the researcher to maintain the quality of the research so that the readers can
understand the purpose and also identify the positive impact of globalization that actually has
been evaluated from the research and discussion. Some risks or challenges are identified but a

Further, the trading sector has raised the amount of people employed by them through imports
and exports. Moreover, it has increased the household income. It is useful to decrease the huge
inflation rate in economies. Further, it has raised the actual wages through lowering the expenses
of consumptions. Additionally, it has provided economies and individuals with latest

opportunities. It has spurred the wide-spreading of latest technologies. This has made the
economies greener and productive (Giddens 2018). It has reduces the discrimination as per
gender wage and providing latest opportunities to the females. This has developed the quantity of

Analyzing the cultural globalization, it is found that the role of communication and media
is considered here. Here, communication and globalization is tangled deeply. Here, a common
agreement has been there that there is no globalization instead of any commutation and media.
Here, media has a core space for various causes (Kennedy, Welch and Monshipouri 2017). First
of all, the media corporations has been highly globalized the operations. The infrastructure of

them has been limited for using particular data collection system. Besides, on the other end of the

the social media and Internet. This is to achieve the huge goals of global populations.
 The business must adopt tolls as the tool to decrease the production cost. The
mechanization must lead to decrease the labor cost. This is to produce competitive goods
under the global scenario.
 This global consuming market the global dynamic world. Thus it requires consistent
market surveys and research. This is helpful to ensure that the products are relevant for
long time. Hence it is recommended the business embrace market research for remaining
relevant in market.
 Here, the local government should be endeavourirng the protection of local firms within
unhealthy competition from multinationals. This is deployed through various tax rebates
and government subsidies for medium, and small firms. This is to withstand the
competition from multinationals.
 Besides, the government must open various markets with the help of innovative products.
This can involve staff restrictions of products from different types of integration

rights of intellectual property, patents and copyrights controlling. This is to be done to
avoid various kinds of duplication and piracy of various materials that are copyrighted.
This ensures that the company should establish latest markets under foreign lands instead
of fears of patent infringement and copyright.

In conclusion it can be said that the current days of globalization has been affected
through strategic and normal administration of various business. Here, most of them has been
forcing to restructure the common working processes for satisfying the rise of customer
necessities. Thus it is seen that globalization has been opening the worldwide markets for
products. This has led to rise in productivity. Moreover, it is seen that it has been for a huge
extent leading to industrialization in developing nations. This to relocate large organizations to
nations in search for various cheap labors. In this way globalization has helped in reducing
poverty in developing nations. This is done through decreasing the wide gap taking place
between poor and rich through generating opportunities of jobs. Due to the expanded markets
most of the natural resources have been over exploited resulting to degradation. Globalization
has further accelerated industrialization which has led to over-establishment of industries above
the nation’s carrying capacity leading to a net carbon production. The excess carbon emitted to

global warming. In this way it is seen how the above research has been addressing various

implications of globalization has not been covered in details here. Thus the outcomes has left the
room for further research on this area of debate.

US witness the globalization in foreign car import business.
It has created remarkable business operational growth. Collectively it is found that,
organizational operation, HR, accounting and marketing and other operational activities are all
positively impacted via globalization. Obtaining access to the world’s market allows the
countries to leverage their exceptional natural advantages.However, natural profit is referred to
as a edge which allow all the countries within geographic boundaries for producing commodities
and products in lower cost range with comparative high quality. It also provides new
opportunities for the under developing countries through allowing them with new market access
opportunities. Long distance is the other challenge that may cause major business operational
challenges. With the help of globalization the long distance communication gaps can also be

In the competitive business market ethics havegained much relevant as well as significant
place. The business scope which is based on organizational management is expanding gradually
all over the world. The features and impact of governance and global economy is referred to as
one of the recent area of expansion. From the entire research and analysis it is determined that
businesses are intended to ransack files for identifying the way through which the globalization
process has put positive impact on world’s economy, international cultural relationship and
market forces. The research work has successfully represented the definition of globalization and
also recognized its positive impact in the global market place. Information Technology also plays
key role in globalization. Not only the business operations but also the international politics is
also getting impacted through this.
It helps to emerge the global brands and increases the trade throughout the borders of
both goods and services. The production of both outsourcing and off sourcing are also gets
enhanced with globalization trades. It also expands the foreign direct investments rates. All the
industrialized nations have huge numbers of goods and services in their warehouse and thus they
are in search of the potential market. The approach of globalization encourages the flow of both
goods and services from one country to the other. The growing economics is also been impacted
positively with the globalization. It tries to establish a connection between people oneness to
world’s continent. Currently if it is found that any country is suffering from any serious difficulty
then the rest of the parts of the world also stay restless till ultimate resolution of the problem.
The expansion of international business activities agree with the expanded phenomena of market
globalization. The globalization of market is referred to as the growing economic collaboration
and interdependency of worldwide all the countries.
Regardless of the type and size of the origin globalization leads the business operations to
rapid products and service dispersal and distribution. Due to globalization the rate of some
unavoidable aspects such as inter organizational conflicts, cultural gaps among the working
employees in a business are also diminishing all over the world. Besides the operation and
market the HR and accounting are also positively impacted through globalization. It is analyzed
that whenever the businesses are expanding its operation in any other countries that time it puts

Performance Review
The project that I was assigned to accomplish is “Defining the positive economic, cultural, and
ethical impacts of globalization on different business functions (e.g. operations, marketing, HR,
accounting) within organizations” After successfully accomplishing the project I have realized that I
contributed cent percent of effort to conduct the research on positive economic, cultural and ethical
impacts of globalization on various business functions. The business functionalities varies for different
business organizations therefore, the role and responsibilities of the marketing, operation, HR and
accounting department are also different from each other. I think that the project is completely successful
in its aim and objectives. After conducting the research work I have collected data from various sources
and analyzed those. I think that the research questions designed have helped me to identify the current
status of the organization with the emerging globalization and also the previous situations of the similar
business organization. With the help of this analysis I think that I have been able to draw the difference
between previous business functionalities and the current functions along with the economic, cultural and
ethical impact of globalization in the business functions. I think that all but the project activities are
accurately structured. As the project was conducted following all the phase accordingly therefore, I can
say that the project has met the expected outcomes. In addition to this, the data sources and information
that are being collected were identified as much useful.
I think that the cost which was estimated for the project initially was high and thus it was required
to be reduced from the project management perspectives. This specific issue was tackled with a new
change management plan. According to this change management program I reduced the total numbers of
resources for the project and as a result the net budget of the project was also reduced. I have also realized
that before initiating the project a project feasibility study should have to be prepared to ensure that the
project is successful. I have identified all the issues timely and also tackled those on time. I have learned
that today’s organization exist in a much complex environment which is directly affected through
globalization. For survival and future success the organizations are required to adopt continuous change
and improvement strategies. The businesses are also needed to consider the evolving conditions of global
market to gain positive business impact. If I rate myself on a performance scale of 1 to 10 then I would
mark myself 7 out of 10 because I think need much improvement in data collection and data analysis. I
think that I have understood the research topic successfully which helped me to conduct the research topic
on a correct direction. I think that I was little confused with the chosen research methodology. I think that
I need to study more on research methodology selection and its application. This is the weakness of mine

Considering the project requirement and all other specifications I have accomplished
the project. I have also analyzed the survey feedback and conducted the research work. I think
that Did you fulfil task requirements? I have fulfilled each individual task requirements and I
think that the timeframe or timeline that I have estimated at the project initiation phase are all
accomplished. I can say that, the direction which I have been following to conduct the research
work is absolutely accurate. Therefore it is expected that the project will surely be completed
within the allotted deadline. I think that the cost which I have estimated for the project is little
high. In addition to this, the total cost for the numbers of assigned resources are also very
high. The cost allowed for the resources can be reduced to make the project a feasible one.

Did you identify risks/issues with a lack of skills required for undertaking
research/tasks?
I faced certain minor issues or risks while conducting the research work. Firstly, I had a
little bit confusion with the project management tools and techniques selection. Initially I was
unable to recognize that between the agile and scrum project development methodology which
methodology I should select for conducting the research work. While conducting the primary
survey I felt that though none of the survey participants are being externally influenced or
manipulated but somewhere not each time the ethical aspects were considered. I think that
while conducting the research survey I should have considered the ethical perspectives above
all the others. I was little much confused while assigning resources for each of the project
activities. I think that the research topic is too vast and small search data collection and
analysis cannot draw a perfect conclusion. I think that while designing and implementing the
project plan RADAR five phase of decision making was required to be adopted and applied at
the same time.
Problems encountered
At the initial phase I failed to choose the most suitable research methodology to conduct
the research work. I can say that after selection of the research topic using suitable data
sources information are required to be gathered and analysed accordingly. In order to overcome
these issues I have consulted with professionals and also take suggestions from my supervisors
to overcome the challenges.
New ideas and change of project direction
What have I learnt about myself this week?
I have realized that my research process was a kind of error and trial process. Due to
having lesser amount of experiences doing the research work from most often I found myself
navigating while finding the most suitable research elements. When I actually started my
research I did not know the actual direction where I have to go. I gave it a try and looked on

few of the research methodologies. In order to overcome the identified challenges I sorted
many articles as my secondary resources. Globalization has impacted the business operations
and functionalities all over the
I took all the challenges very positively and tried to consider possible solution so that
the issues can be all resolved appropriately and no such error occurs during the development
of the project.
I think that whatever problem resolution strategies I have considered to conduct the
research work were absolutely useful. I gave cent percent of contribution to find out needful
data. Infact I have also successfully analyzed those responses gathered from the survey
participants.
Though, I have completed the research work but still there are some issues which think
needs to be changed and adopting proper change management tools and techniques I would
like to implement change management approach in the next week. I think, the professional
project management prcatices that I will be gathered from this research work will help me in
my upcoming future
