Internal and External environment of an Organization
INTRODUCTION
There can be different factors that affect the
business of an organization. These factors can
either be internal or external (Fernández-Olmos
and Ramírez-Alesón, 2017). The different
internal factors can include employees,
leadership, nature of the business, available
technology etc. Whereas external factors can
include customers, technological advancements,
employment rates, political stability etc. The
poster is based on the organization Marks and
Spencer.
Internal Factors
The internal environment of a company
comprises of different factors such as
employees, availability of resources, leadership,
nature of the business etc. If the job satisfaction
level among the employees is high, they will work
productively and thus, the overall performance of
the company will improve (Li and et.al., 2020).
Similarly, if the company implements latest
technology in its workplace, the business
operations will run smoothly.
Conclusion
It can be concluded that different internal as well as external environment
factors can affect the operations of the firm to a great level. Therefore, it is
important to identify these factors and develop appropriate strategies.
Similarly, there are also certain external factors that can
affect the organization. The different external factors can
include customers, political condition, employment rate
etc. It is important for the company to identify and analyze
the external factors so that effective strategies can be
developed.
The customers look out for innovative products and that
too at affordable rates. If Marks and Spencer will not be
able to offer innovative products, the customers are likely
to shift to the competitors.
How can the company impact on the external
environment?
One of the major ways through which Marks and Spencer can impact the
external environment is by planning and implementing strategies that help it
stand out from the competitors. By offering innovative as well as high-quality
products, a company can influence the customers (Yao, Qiu and Wei, 2019).
Also, if the company is profitable, it can contribute to the overall economic
development of the nation to a great extent.
