Discussion on the national state Bolivia: In the context of Bolivia, which
is a landlocked country, located in Western-central South America, it can
be said that political situation is not stable which direct affects economic
condition and health of people. Bolivia is characterized by a chaotic
political situation as well as a decline economy. This instability starts in
the year of 2001 with resignation of president of Bolivia, Hugo Brouzer.
Still there is a political instability due to political demonstration. Due to
political instability, Bolivia is considered as one of the poorest country in
South America. Many of the indigenous rural people mainly rely on
mining, farming and small trading for income. The country relied heavily
on taxes paid by Indians and it is one of the main sources of income for it.
It is also found that due to economic and political instability; most of the
people are suffering from illness or experiencing poor health. They do not
have access to healthcare services. Due to political and economic factors,
only few people can have access to safe water, health care services and
general sanitation. Because of this condition, lack of access to safe water,
people suffer from infectious, water borne diseases. Children below the age
of 5 are more likely to suffer from stunted growth-an effect of chronic
Malnutrition.Food and fuel shortages gripped the Bolivian capital La
Paz in 2019.
Income distribution**: It is given 2 stars only as it is known as
one of the most unequal nation in Latin America. Indigenous
people are being treated in an ineffective and unfair manner as
compare to others and it is the reason as poor people are getting
poorer and rich people are getting rich. But it is found that support
from other organizations are supporting the poorest country in
South America and due to political and economic stability, people
actually find problems in having access to pure and safe water,
health care services. All these factors lead to malnutrition among
children and invasion of mosquitoes.
Life expectancy***: This area of this country is given 3 stars and
in numbers it is .67 years which is the lowest in Latin America.
One of the main reasons is lack of health care and safe water
access. So, for improving this area, government and international
organizations are funding as it can help people out in getting better
nutrition it is given 3 stars. One of the main aims of such
movements to educate people and also reducing this gender

Economy: It has the 95th largest economy in the world and in the
context of purchasing power it is the 87th largest economy. Gross
domestic product is 40.29 billion USD.
Population: Estimated population of Bolivia as per the year of
2020 is around 11,673,021 and it is equivalent to 0.15% of the total
world population.
Health: Overall health of people of this country is not good and it
can be known as data of infant mortality rate which is around
27.944 deaths per 1000 live births. There is requirement of focusing
on this area in order to reduce this mortality rate and improvising
overall health of people. In this regard, it is found that World Bank
and other international organizations are funding it for reforming
health system.
Culture: It is characterized by diverse culture as most of people are from
Spanish origin.
Religion: Roman Catholic was one of the most common religions of this
county in 2018. The second most chosen religion was evangelism.
Languages: As most of the people are from Spanish origin so, most of the
people around 85% people speak Spanish, 18% people can speak Aymara,
28% people can speak Quechua and only 1% people can speak Guarani.
Human development index (HDI): HDI of this country is 0.693 and in the
context of number it can be said that it is on 118 out of 189 countries

Overall assessment****: Overall this country is being given 4
stars as government is focusing on several areas which needs to
be improved and because of active participation of women in
social movements and others movements, people are being
made aware about equality and others. One of the other reasons
of this rating is effectiveness of president Evo Morales and
weak power of opposite leaders.

Freedom****: It is one of the main areas on which people are focusing on the
most and it is rated with 4 stars. It is found that now there is no political unrest
and political freedom. Some opposition leaders of political party decided to live
abroad which means all parties of political who are trying to make this country
the best will be in dominant position. Political situation can be changed due to
this improved factor.
Literacy****: In late 90s literacy rate was not good but now it has been
improved up to 97.5%. And it is the reason it is being given 4 stars and still
government is focusing on this area because it is believed that literary rate and
educated people can change the world.
Sexual minority: It is rated with 3 stars because still homosexuality is not
acceptable in this conservative society even after becoming it legal. People
need to be made aware about this as it is legal and there are no negative effects
of it.
