INTRODUCTION
Gibbs Reflective model proposed by Graham Gibbs, is a framework which concentrates
on repeated occurrence. This framework accounts the situations and facilitate the people to
develop sense, understand the situation and put reflections for betterment in future. It includes
Six stages and each stages has specific engagement and reflection on experiences. The involved
stages are Description, Feelings, Evaluation, Analysis, Conclusion and Action plan (Kovacs and
Corrie, 2022). This project is all about the Poverty alleviation prevention in Leeds, A city in
England situated at the south bank of the River Aire. This project utilizes the Gibbs Reflective
Framework to evaluate and reflect the Leeds situations.
MAIN BODY
Poverty is about not having enough money to attains the basic necessities which includes
food, shelter and clothing (Fahle and et.al., 2020). Almost 155,000 people in Leeds are living in
poverty. 3 out of 5 children are living in poverty and adversely affecting the life of the children
especially. This poverty has hold back the children growth and development, breaks the pathway
for their education and ultimately stop them to work (Fraser, 2019). People living in poverty
have engage themselves in the Crime. A reflection is discussed below in context to poverty
alleviation in Leeds:
Description
I was in Leeds with some of my co-workers for some project work and as a healthcare
worker, I have analysed that Leeds is suffering from poverty from last few year which has
impacted the social- economical status of the people living there. The child's and the adults are
highly impacted due to poverty. Families with the low income, poverty has lead to use the food
bank and skipping of the foods by the parents for their children. Parents are not able to afford the
warmer clothes for their child or for themselves. This all are affecting the growth and
development of the child as the parents are not bale to access the necessities. Due to low income
the education need is also not fulfilled which again the hindering the process of getting job. The
young people are assailable to moving with additional burden ad gap in education into their
adulthoods. The adults are adopted the path of crime to fulfil their needs and desires. Due to
poverty, The people in Leeds have also facing the discrimination, exclusion and lack of
opportunities. While this project, A commitment was made by me and my co- workers to
