In my experience, a project is successful if

I have observed that an effective project
management will be reach the desired
outcome by managing the available
resources.

 Controlling the expectations can lead
to a professional approach to the
projects where the participants will
give their utmost effort in reaching
the goals.
I have learnt that success can only be
achieved when people give their utmost
efforts. This can only be achieved by
controlling the expectation so the
participants and keeping them at an
appropriate level.
