The project of Brisbane airport runway has used different tools and techniques
so that the possible time, risk and required management process can be able to
get managed. The technique that will be used for the project is Pert, CPM, and
Kanban. For its justification and for contractual processes the effective
measurement tools used are the total quality management and business process
re-engineering. These processes are very important and helpful for the
management of Brisbane to meet the set standards and objectives (McKeown &
Lindorff, 2011). This is very effective and is assisting to maintain the quality and
effectiveness of the project.
Total quality management (TQM)
The TQM is one of the effective approaches that is been used to measure the
quality and worth of the work or project. It is availing quality to the project at
the initial phase itself. The customer’s requirements and objective of the project
are the major concerns. Helpful in building mutual understanding and effective
team working among the members of the project.

Business process re-engineering (BPR)
This is another very major aspect which is used I the project so that the
unnecessary project cost and wastage could be able to get managed in the best
possible manner. This is helping in a continuous and frequent improvement in
the project plan, also it is assisting the project to get replanned in such a manner
that it will directly aim to the project’s aims and set standards.

In this reading, the tendering and contract for the project has been concerned
that in accordance with the norms and laws are needed to be considered while
procuring the project plan. There are general conditions and elements that are
must to tender and to make a contract for the project. As per Administration
manual for AS 4000-1997 several things and elements that are focused are-
Value for the money- The money and the cost that is get invested in the project
need to be worthful and must be effective to carry out the project as this will be
aiding to meet the aims and standards also the contract and tender will be able
to get procured
MacDonald, et. al.,2012.
Specifications- The specifications for the project plan will be displayed to the
council to make the further decisions and to take required steps.
Tender evaluation- with the help of at least 3 members in the council panel
who will be making the decisions for evaluating the project plan and will make
recommendations and suggests for any changes.
Complaint process- Th council will be responsible for making any solution and
promptly address any of the issues and problems that will get raise in the
tendering process.
