INTRODUCTION
Digital marketing is a new emerging and renowned aspect of marketing which is highly
impactful and advantageous for the business. In the current market situation social media
marketing is a newly adaptive method under digital marketing which is providing high end
benefits to the company as well as user. For the company the benefits are enumerated as
enhancing customer image and capture, on the other hand for user the benefits are enumerated
as high awareness regarding product and services can be obtained which is helpful in making
proper buying decision. This report includes all the concepts of digital marketing and social
media marketing on the background of Vodafone Plc. Vodafone is a British owned
telecommunications company and headquartered in London, UK (Chaffey and Smith, 2017)

According to CIM marketing is defined as the process which is highly dependent on
recognising and meeting customer needs and requirement in order to gain profits in prominent
manner. Marketing is known to be a management procedure of recognising and meeting
customer demands and needs and fulfilling major objective of business of earning profits. In
current market of high competition marketing skills are required to be enhanced so as to
understand and fulfil customer needs in proper way.
Marketing is an activity which involves communication, delivery of goods, and
exchange of offerings with clients and customer or large pool of society. Marketing is sum of
various activities in which promotion and selling of goods and services are included. These
activities are performed on the behalf of companies and attention of huge customer can be
attained as well. In the context of voda marketing activities are highly emphasised by them as in
current market scenario these activities are having effective and significant role and advantage
as well (Blythe and Marti, 2019).

Marketing mix is defined as sum of 7 elements of marketing in which all the aspects of
marketing are included. Similarly communication mix is sum of those aspects and approaches
in which customers are communicated and interacted so as to aware them about the product and
service offerings. In the context of voda marketing mix is elaborated as under:
Product: Voda is providing telecommunication services to their customers and this is their
prominent sector of business. The company is having high technology features such as 5G
network services and high speed broadband services in which they are covering huge audience
and growing at a prominent speed in the market.
Price: Voda is focused on keeping competitive pricing strategy by which they are receiving
significant edge in market place. As the market of telecommunication sector is growing very
fast so in order to deal with this situation and to make significant market position competitive
pricing strategy is adopted by them (Abril and Rodriguez-Cánovas, 2016).
Place: Voda is headquartered in UK but the company is serving their customer on global
platform and majorly in Europe, Africa, Asia pacific and Middle East. The company is having
appropriate presence in 25 countries and they are making partnership with more 47 countries in
order to enhance their market share.
Promotion: This is the aspect in which communication mix fits as within this company uses
various promotional tools and tactics by which customers can be interacted and catered in a
better way. Voda is using digital marketing and promotional tools in which they specifically use
social media marketing as this is an emerging method and customer footfall is very high on
social media within recent times.
Process: In this context voda is having online delivery process in which they get online request
for customer requirement and the same can be delivered to the customer via online platform and
feedbacks can be collected thereon.
People: Voda is having very effective sales team in which they are dedicated to provide
customer satisfaction. The company provides high end training to their staff so that they can
understand and meet customer requirements in prominent manner.
