INTRODUCTIONPrejudice and discrimination have been considered as most common issues throughouthuman history. People are inflexible and have irrational attitudes towards others. Society orcommunity gives more preferences to their local people and behave rude or bias with the personsthose who belong from other nation or region (Simpson and Yinger, 2013). Communitymembers do not like when government provides support to these asylum seekers. They said thatthese resources needs to be used for welfare of local population rather than others. Currentassignment will discuss prejudice and discrimination on the ground of race, gender, age,disability. Furthermore, it will explain legislative response on these matters. In addition, rangeof community initiatives in order to empower specific group of people will be illustrated in thisessay (Schmitt and et.al, 2014).MAIN BODYDiscrimination on the grounds of race, gender, age and disability (332)It is fact that people treat unfairly to other community people that is kind ofdiscrimination. There are many aspects on the ground of which people get discriminated byothers such as age, gender, race, religion, disability etc. Government has allotted resources forthose people so that they can stay in the other country easily and can survive here without anytrouble. Many legislation have been made by UK government in this respect so that people canget to know about their rights (Kite and Whitley Jr, 2016). When any asylum seeker come toother location and apply for the job or in other case if person belong from other nation and workin the office then people treat them unfairly. Most of time that individual do not get promotionalopportunities in the employment. This is discrimination on the ground of nationality. Apart fromthis, people get discriminated on the bases of race as well. It is called direct discrimination wherethey do not get job opportunities in other nations and society members have negative attitudetowards them (Bodenhausen, Macrae and Sherman, 2016). Gender is most common base on which people discriminate others. There are manyplaces where girls are getting that much freedom that boys have. Even they have no rights tocomplete their education as well, that is why they are engaged in household work only. It is thesituation of most of the rural areas in the UK (Znamenskiy and Zador, 2013).
