INTRODUCTION
Food service management is crucial part in any hospitality sector as it provides food and
beverages to large number of people in costs effective manner. Also, to deliver best services
requires better skills and knowledge on part of hotel manager. Further, the study is based on
Premier Inn hotel and will identify range of management practices that are followed in over the
years. Lastly, various performance review techniques followed by quoted firm along with certain
recommendations to improve these existing techniques will also be discussed in detail under this
report.

Assessing management practices within Premier inn.
Premier inn hotel is very well-known for all its management practices that are conducted
at the workplace. Also, the hotel is known for giving the employees a perfect work life balance
and also providing better career growth platforms that are essential for the development of any
employee of Premier inn. Moreover, there is range of performance review techniques that are
used by quoted firm that are briefly described as follows:
360 degree feedback: This is type of technique that is useful in both positive and
constructive manner. Also, these techniques allows premier inn to evaluate each employee
performance based on the overall views that are collected from different individuals that are
working with each other on daily basis (Filimonau, 2021). Thus, it helps is identifying the
weakness of each employee and accordingly training programmes are developed to enhance the
competencies.
Performance appraisals: In this technique hotel premier inn aims in aligning individual
goals to with strategic goals. Also, in this method quoted firm hotel manager establishes one-to-
one conversation with each individual employee so that its efforts could be identified and
afterwards corrective actions if any could be suggested at the same time (TOP 7

to keep track of all its employees activities so that proper control and monitor might be
