Section 2- HCPC and SoR in professional practice
The health and care professional council is an organization which regulates the health
professionals, psychological professionals and the care professionals in the United Kingdom.
The council normally set standard, hold a register and educate about the quality assurance and
also do the investigation of the problem. They do the regulation of different fields including art
therapy, biomedical science, clinical science, dieticians, radiography, social work, speech
therapy, language therapy and speech therapy (Rosenkrantz, Hughes & Duszak Jr, 2017).
According to HCPC in the professional practice of radiography, the registered radiographers
must be-
The radiographers must be able to practice safely and also effectively and that also within
their scope.
They must be able practice within the range of legal and ethical boundaries of their
profession.
The radiographers must be able to maintain the proper fitness of the practice.
They can be able to practice autonomously by exercising their own judgement of their
profession (Rosenkrantz et al., 2017).
They can practice in a manner without any discrimination and they should understand the
importance and must also maintain the confidentiality.
They can able to communicate and work effectively.
They must able to maintain the records, reflect and review on the practices and the most
important thing is to understand the need to maintain an environment of safe practice
(Sloane & Miller, 2017).
