PROJECT OVERVIEW
Project is termed as set of interrelated tasks which has to be attained in effective manner.
This is required to be attained so that project can be delivered to client in stipulated time frame.
It means that every project has definite period of start and end. This implies that project must be
delivered within stipulated time and no lag may be present. Hence, firm is required to manage
the project and deliverable to the customer. There are various specification, expenses and
estimates of project which are used to accomplish project. Present project deals with the client
who has set up new office at suburb area and runs public internet centre in the city. Project
covers to connect main branch office with newly opened through wirelessly enabled network. In
simple words, telecommunication link between these two branches is to be established.
For connecting both of them, NGN (Next Generation Network) will be used as it has
immense benefits. NGN networking means that it is packet-based network providing
telecommunication link and services to customers. The users are able to get multiple broadband
services and QoS-enabled functionalities. It imparts competing services and effectively supports
mobility allowing uninterrupted services to users. There are various layers which are used to
form an NGN model. These are services and applications layer, control, transport and access
network layers. The first layer includes NGN application, feature and media server. Control layer
has MGC, Softswitch and Gatekeeper (Anbari, 2018). On the other hand, transport layer includes
transmission, packet network, media gateways, core packet network etc. While, access network
layer has fixed, data, cable, satellite and wireless fixed etc.
Convergence of network is required as there are three types of networks currently being
used such as PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network), Packet Switched Networks and
cellular networks. Convergence is nothing but interconnecting traditional networks and packet-
based network using IP (Internet Protocol). In simple words, it is referred to as all IP network.
The project team will cover entire project within the time frame so that it may be handed to the
client. Telecommunication link between two branches will be established with NGN network so
as to improve upon services and provide faster services to the customers. Furthermore, hardware
and software requirements will be met in relation to the project. The protocols such as C bus and
Profi bus would also be used for linking networking in offices and form main server.
Furthermore, WI-Max facility is required for proper mobility and interlinking networks and

initiating internet services quite effectually. Efficient team of workers, costs and budget
constraints would be needed in order to establish telecommunication link through NGN network.
Hence, overall project will get completed in timely manner and will be handed to client.
CLIENT OVERVIEW
Client operates public access internet cafe centre which has 3 rooms and accommodates
to servers and equipments of telecommunication. In all, 15 computers, 3 servers are located in
the office. Customer has launched new branch which is situated far distant from main office at
suburb area. Now, project is to get secure wireless connection between offices for better
connectivity and telecommunication link for providing better internet services to the customers
who visits internet cafe centre. Furthermore, NGN networking will be utilised for streamlining
connection as it includes all functionalities for strengthening overall network to main server.
Moreover, WI-Max facility would be provided so that internet connectivity can be maintained in
a better way. Technical functionalities and specifications are essentially required for completing
project within stipulated time and constraint (Daniel and Daniel, 2018).
The youngsters will be benefited as services will be imparted to them mainly. The
services are sold on per hour and charges will be obtained accordingly. Youngsters of suburb
area will be imparted with high speed internet facility as they are underprivileged of basic
internet functionalities. Underlying values and motivation to provide services to enhance their
information with regards to various elements, eventually society can be benefited and profits
may be attained.
SCOPE OF PROJECT
Project scope statement outlines activities and tasks to be done in step-by-step manner in
order to accomplish project in time frame. It is essentially required as it involves activities in
streamlined manner which has to be accomplish by firm to deliver project to client by connecting
telecommunication link between two offices. Software and hardware system requirements are to
be fulfilled in accordance to project for interlinking servers to main branch of office. NGN
protocols, Modbus will be used to get over shortcomings and establish networks in effective
manner (Mok, Shen and Yang, 2015).

There are certain requirements need to be implemented so that connectivity may be made
in the best possible manner. It is required that firm may be able to complete project on time. It
can be said that resources such as funds, hardware and software requirements are needed. In
relation to this, NGN components are required such as Flat IP, VoIP and SIP (Session Initiation
Protocol) etc. Furthermore, signalling gateways and media gateways are needed and Softswitch
is an important function in this aspect. IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) is standard architecture
of NGN networking. On the other hand, basic server of x86 bit, along with 10 Gigabit Ethernet
interface, CPU, hard disk space are needed to form network. Moreover, security is a crucial
element so that unauthorised access can be restricted with entirety. Processors of 2.5 GHz which
will provide high performance. Memory of 2 GB will be enough for adequate storage. Disk
space of NTFS with nearly 3 GB will be needed for website surfing. Software requirement will
be Hyper-visor VM version ESXI 5.5.0. Thus, faster connectivity may be achieved.
Project Recommendations
Telecommunication link through NGN networking is required to be made in accordance
to the project requirement (Harrison and Lock, 2017). Hereby it can be recommended that
telecommunication is to be streamlined through better flow of electromagnetic signals. The
protocols of NGN will be used for effective mobility of signals and thus, perfect connectivity can
be accomplished. IP protocols means that various set of protocols which includes TCP and
HTTP having integration with IP. It helps to effectively impart interact with web browsers. In
relation to this, NGN networking which includes interrelated IP protocols will be needed for
connectivity of telecommunication link between offices in the best possible manner. The
processors and memory as discussed in above paragraph are required for timely accomplishment
of project. Microsoft.NET framework is to be installed and nearby 56 kbps of speed is required
for better connectivity of two offices. Hence, by such specifications in relation to NGN network
and IP protocols, project could be attained with much ease (Punnett, 2014).

employees and users of internet cafe centre of client. Computers shall be well-connected and no
