As per the Driscoll's Model of Reflection, being employed in Amazon as the
Driver has helped in attaining success and growth in the career with good
understanding of the work and culture.
The job of Driver is related to delivery of material as well as finished goods from
one place to another. Also, it has to arrange for regular cleaning and maintenance
services of each vehicle to be used, formulating plans for each route and area on the
basis of road and traffic conditions and managing payments options (Smith, 2016). Also,
it helps in supplying articles related to fitting and installing of windows, glasses,
conservatories as well as glazed curtain walls in different building premises such as
office, house, schools etc. The main work is to ensures timely delivery of demanded
goods to its customers and other business premises of Amazon. Being a driver, it is
duty to inform the company promptly about any king of penalty or fine ticket has been
issued against the Vehicle of Amazon during the working hours.
Communication is considered as one of the most important aspect in every
business organisation as it assist in defining business objectives in clear and proper
manner among employees. With the help of effective communication in between
drivers, it has helped Amazon in fostering good and effective working relationship and

timely delivery of goods. In the workplace of Amazon, being working as a driver
communicating in effective manner has helped in ensuring proper working and
attainment of the organisational goals. Communication is basically the process of
exchanging as well as sharing of information, ideas, thoughts either in verbal or non
verbal form within the business premises.
With strong communicating skills it has helped in gaining proper understanding
related to the business plans and strategies as formulated in line with the business aims
and objectives (Austin and Pinkleton, 2015). Thus, with full information about goals and
steps to be taken it has enabled in achieving objectives in better manner. By having
effective communication in between the employees, it helps company in making
improvement in its overall efficiency as well as performance level.
With the help of effective communication, it has fosters morale level which
directly aids to the performance as well as improves efficiency level. With data and
information of concrete nature as provided by Amazon related to delivery, has helped in
smooth operations. It is also supported by proper figures, symbols as essential for
defining true picture of the message and has provided easy understanding.
Communication taking place in between company and me as per the proper plans and
strategies ensures its effectiveness. Information to be communicated should have some
logical aspect related to main topic. Message to be communicated should be clear and
specified in proper language so that long distance delivery of material and goods can be
reached proper with no confusing or double meaning being derived from the message.
Being driver, communication is considered as one of the most important aspect
in organising and making plans related to route to be chosen for providing goods and
materials on time to the required business firm and customers. A well committed
message by Amazon has helps in increasing morale level as there is consistency in the
message in relation to language, tone, voice and content which has saved time by
easily understanding the core meaning of message. This has aids Amazon in gaining
competitive edge in the market place by providing short and complete message so that
conclusion can be derived out of it (Oetzel, 2017). Amazon is always courteous, honest
and respectful while communicating with us which motivates and increases morale
level.

By understanding importance of effective communication, it has helped in
providing following benefits to Amazon in improving performance of own as well:
1. Helps in eliminating confusion, ambiguity and any misunderstanding related to
the subject matter of message being communicated by Amazon.
2. It helps in fostering the motivation level thereby increasing our morale level and
making improvement in overall efficiency and performance level.
3. It has also assisted in building effective teams and increasing employees
engagement thus providing work satisfaction to us as well as meeting customer
demand (Greenaway and et.al., 2015).
4. Also, it fosters the production level of the company as well as of the other
employees thereby making workforce more talented and skilled.

By working in Amazon as a Driver, I had gained experienced a lot about new
learning and manner in which performance can be improved. As per the flow of
communication related to information as well as data provided by the company, it has
created impact on the performance measures of the employees of every job role as they
are clear and having proper vision about the main aims and objectives which are
required to be attained in the near future, with the help of sound and effective business
plans and strategies formulated.
Also, it has assisted in making improvement in the quality of services as
rendered by us with has directly added to the value of Amazon in form of brand image
and reputation (Deslandes and et.al., 2018). Furthermore, by delivering better quality
products and services it has helped Amazon in making its customers more satisfied
across the globe.
Creativity and innovative ideas as provided by the workers including drivers has
helped the company in saving cost expenses as associated with the most unproductive
business operations. With the help of effective and proper communication system in
Amazon, it has provide with proper explanation regarding to the strategy to be adopted,
things to be done as per the plans made, manner of attaining such thing as well as
aspects which are required to be taken in to consideration for improving and increasing
overall efficiency level of the worker. Improvement has been in undertaking duty and

responsibility as a driver by making assistance in loading as well as unloading of staff or
guest luggage, goods and other materials.
Adjustment can be now made with the help of full information related to routes
and areas so as to avoid late delivery as well as traffic congestion because of
construction of roads, maintenance work which helps Amazon in gaining competitive
advantages.
