INTRODUCTION
Various skills and capabilities are improved by learners at the university level that helps
in achieving future success. The university studies provides various learning resources that are
generally activity based and helps students to learn about the different aspects of academic
learning. Learning capabilities and skills are required for effective study and this also helps in the
future life of students. The present report is based on the module 'Preparing for Success at
University: Knowledge and Creativity'. This module helps learner to various skills and
knowledge that is required to get success at the university level and also in future life. Brief
review and evaluation of this module is done in the follo9wing reflection report.
MAIN BODY
TASK 1
How and Why I have developed as learner during this module
I learned to avoid plagiarism in my research reports from this study module guide.
Learner needs to have effective writing skills and skill of avoiding plagiarism in writing as it is
required in the university success. I learnt that I can easily and effectively avoid plagiarism in
writing by doing paraphrasing (Abdalmenem And et.al., 2018). This technique helps in
rearranging the words and making effective research writing. The term plagiarism refers to the
unethical practice that makes use of another authors' ideas and words either knowingly or
unknowingly. This skill needs to be developed as this is considered as a serious a serious offence
in university academic writing. Plagiarism can also cause negative consequences in university
studies like paper retractions or loss of credibility. Thus, I have developed effective writing skills
and avoiding plagiarism.
Through study module, I have also developed various types of academic learning. There
are different types of academic learning such as descriptive, persuasive, critical and analytical.
These academic learning has particular purpose and language features. University studies will
require these academic writing to be used in different texts. For example, if I am writing
empirical thesis in the university, I will be required to make use of critical academic writing in
the literature review for showing is there is any gap within the existing research or not.
Descriptive type is the easiest one and its main purpose is for providing information and facts of
the topic. I developed this skill so that I can make effective use of it in my university studies and

learning (Gallagher and Haan, 2018). In university learning I can make use of descriptive
academic learning to provide the summary for an article or report as a result of the experiment. I
also developed analytical and critical academic writing skills as it is considered as the important
in the university learning and getting effective success (Types of academic writing, 2019). The
critical writing is used for research studies in advanced undergraduate and post-graduate writing.
The most university writing are done using the analytical writing technique as it involves
descriptive writing, reorganising of information and facts. I can also make use of analytical
writing for describing the information into groups, categories, types, parts and/or its relationship.
From this study module, I also gained knowledge of formal writing and grammar. The
university studies and research reports require accurate use of grammar and formal writing.
Thus, I learned and developed skills of formal writing (Kostopoulos and et.al., 2018). This can
be developed by structuring the writing in clear and specific topic sentences. I learned formal
writing skill by avoiding contradiction and choosing language that is less emotional and intense.
Proof reading the sentences and writing is done by me to learn the effective grammar and formal
writing skills.
TASK 2
Further reflection on how to approach future challenges and expectations
University and advance graduate degrees expects from students that they have required
skills and capabilities that helps them to get successful results in the future life. “Preparing of
Success at University: Knowledge and Creativity” module helps in gaining various skills and
capabilities. The module guides me to effectively meet the future challenges and expectations of
university learning (Malinowski and Howkins, 2018). Through this module I learnt the
knowledge and skill of managing my time and studies effectively that will also help me in
meeting future challenges and deadline tasks. Time-management skill will help me in getting
success in university learning and also in professional career.
The different academic writing and formal writing skills will help me to meet
the future expectations of writing research reports in the university studies effectively. The future
challenges can be excessive paperwork regarding data collection methods that can be approached
by using proper time-management and academic writing skills (Sawarkar And et.al., 2018).
Critical thinking and reading essentials are important to be used for meeting the future

expectation in the university studies. I focus on being focused and managed so that I can easily
and effectively approach and meet the future expectations and challenges. This study module
also guided me to be creative and innovative in reflecting ideas and views. This skill lead to
bring improvement in my academic writing skill and also benefits to meet the future
expectations. The module guides me to make use of my complexity and plagiarism skill in the
future university studies so that I can express myself in a better way and have the credibility of
my writing. The university expectations regarding academic writings can be met by avoiding
plagiarism in the writing and also by making proper and understanding sentences. Proper use of
grammar in the sentences is expected in the academic writing to get successful results (Wyner,
2019).
CONCLUSION
The study module guides helps me in developing the learning skills and autonomy.
Effective learning modules helps me to express my self in better ways in the university studies
and learning. The university module helps me to retain and digest the important information in
specific way. The stored skills and information is beneficial for me in both current and future
studies.
The module teaches me various academic skills such as how to avoid plagiarism, various
types of academy writing and grammar. The module also teaches me to study about strategies of
academic writing and grammar. The effective learner also needs to have skills for having
formality in writing as it is required in the university studies. Critical thinking and reading
essentials are also taught in this study module.
