INTRODUCTION
Portfolio is comprehensively said to be as the integration of learning and experience
which supports individual in executing their activity or work within the particular tenure
(Ghanizadeh, 2017). It simply provides opportunity of self development to the individual which
ultimately individual in attaining success with their own experiences. The present report covers
detailed information over the contribution of mini project workshops to development of
employability. Also, description on several skills, reflection on self development during
coursework and a CV is stated in the project.
TASK 1
How and why has the mini project workshops contributed towards the
development of your employability?
Mini project workshops are determined as the most effectual part of the learning as it helps
the individual in improvising their own skills as well as knowledge. This simply helps them out
in developing themselves and attaining the job as per their own choice in rightful manner. Here,
it can be said that I am a highly curious person who seeks to learn new things at every single day.
This curiosity of mine simply helps me out in acquiring good job in the near future as my
curiosity simply enhances my capability of performing the work and also supports me in
attaining success in the rightful manner. Apart from this it can be said that development of these
skills simply helps me out in enhancing my employability skills too. It can also be said that at the
time of attending workshop I have gone through both the positive as well as negative kind of
experiences. The positive experience associated with this mini workshops was that I obtained
opportunity of enhance my planning areas in rightful manner so that I can maximise my working
capability in rightful manner. In addition to this, it also allows me to develop better strategies as
well as tactics that supports in improvising relation with the team members.
On the contrary, the negative experiences related to the same mini workshops have
affected a lot in my learning growth. In the mini project workshop I got to realise that I am not at
all good in several areas which ultimately demotivate me and also reduced my working
capability. Thus, from the overall evaluation it can be said that the mini project workshops has
contributed a lot in the development of my employability skills.

SKILL REFLECTION
At the time of coursework at university, I got opportunity to develop some of skills and learn
them during learning phase. Also, by taking base of those skills presently I am developing many
others skills that contributed in the overall process of my self development. Reflective account
on all the skills is specified as below:
Career Action Plan
Career action plan can be developed by oneself only through which they got opportunity to
develop their certain set of skills which would be further contributing their success. It can be said
that development of effective career action plan helps individual to get success by approaching
all the growth opportunity with particular planning and learning phase. In order to develop this
plan it is highly important for the one analyse their own skills then determine its gap so that
required improvement could be made towards the same with effective planning. With reference
to my own development of career action plan, it is required by me to make list of particular task
or skills that would be performed for fulfilling this gap in rightful manner.
Leadership Activity
Leadership refers to the effective quality of individual which helps them out in influencing
others to perform the work as per their provided description. With reference to my own
experience ir can be said that my leadership skill is highly strong as from my initial days of my
learning I was always leading the team which have enhanced by confidence level and developed
effectively convincing capability that maximises the working capability of whole team and
contributes in attaining success in quicker manner. Development of this skill would definitely
help me out in my professional life too as it would be easier for me to attain success in the near
future.
Teamwork Activity
Teamwork activity is considered as the activity that is being performed by the person
within the group. The group might include two or more person who can collaboratively attain
expected results in rightful manner. it is highly important for the individual to have effective
team working skills so that they can easily accomplish their predefined goals and objectives in
rightful mane. In context of my academic life, it can be said that my tutor assigns us many

project which are mandatorily to be performed within the group only. This simply provides us
opportunity to grow ourselves and complete our project within the provided deadline. On my
own experience related to this, it can be said that capability of performing work activity within
the group is not so strong thus it makes difficult for me to survive longer in the group.
Development of this skill would definitely help me out in succeeding the professional life too.
Communication skills
Communication skill is the ability of person to convey the information from one person
to another. Many of these skills work together to perform better communication skills such as
active listening, friendliness, giving and receiving feedback, confidence, empathy. It is the most
important skill for a person in professional as well as academic relation. During the tenure in
college, I was taught by my tutors that communication skill is very crucial for better
performance and it create more opportunities than any other skill. It also help us to achieve our
goal.
Presentation skills
Presentation skill is mainly referred to as the capability of the person to engage targeted
audience while delivering opinions and viewpoint on the particular subject matter. It is seen as
the highly important skill in every individual’s life as it helps them out in expressing themselves
in front of others in most appropriate format. From my personal experience, it can be said that
my presentation skill is highly strong as I excel in the communication skill too. This simply
makes my pattern of delivering information in front of others moiré stronger. Even though my
presentation is strong but still it is important for me to polish it with the passing period of time
that ultimately helps me out in delivering information in front of others in most appropriate
manner,.
Time management
This can be considered as the ability of an person to organize and plan task in a specific
period of time. Task and time management skills are very important for an person in academic as
well as professional context. Within the college , Number of projects and assignment were given
to me which had to be finished within the pre-defined course of time. This develops a time
management skill in us which helps to perform in better way to accomplish goal.

Motivation
Motivation is comprehensively said to be as the way through which individual get
influenced towards performing the same work with more potential. It can be said that I am self
motivated person as I get motivated by simply observing things and encourage my self to
perform the same in most rightful manner. Even though I am good at self motivation level but
still it is highly important for me to develop the same skill in terms of motivating others that is
my team members so that they can improvise their performance. For developing this skill I
personally makes use of several motivational theories such as Maslow’s hierarchical need theory,
vroom’s expectancy etc. in order to develop high motivation among team members.
Development of this skill would definitely help me out in succeeding the professional life too
Personal development
This is considered as the effective practice which supports individual in assessing the core
requirement of development among themselves mainly in the zone of skills and capabilities. The
motive of this is to improvise both the professional as well as personal practice of individual. In
order to develop myself personally I personally prefer to develop an effective action plan that
contributes in accomplishing project goals with expertise. My personal experience at University
have supported me a lot in determining my own strength as well as weaknesses with the motive
of incorporating required improvement within it. For this, I personally prefer to make use of
personal skill audit which further supports me in developing required action plan towards the
same for attaining expertise in weak areas.
Employability skills
These can be defined as the transferable skills which are required by a person to make
them employable within their field of interest. Undergoing studies at university posed me to a
number of instances and activities whereby I got the opportunity to develop as well as enhance
employability skills such as problem solving, technical skills, collaborative working, leadership
skills, adaptability, creativity, marketing, critical thinking and many more. By incorporating
these skills within the tenure at college, an individual inflates the scope of getting employed in a
reputed multinational company.

Decision making skill
Decision making is referred to as the effective skill which helps individual out in making
rightful decisions that are beneficial for themselves in rightful manner. While my learning at
college tenure, it can be said that I have to make many decisions related to the project and others
decisions that are the part of my self grooming. It can be said that my decision making skill is not
that much good as I got confused in deciding that what is true or what is not. This simply affects
my decision making capability. In order to groom this in rightful manner I personally prefer to
communicate my college seniors and tutors regarding the same as it supports me out taking
rightful decisions in the near future.
CV
CV is acknowledged as the written document that clearly specifies individuals capability,
skills, experiences, qualification and interest area of the candidate that helps an employer to
make decision that the candidate is suitable for their company or not. In other words CV is
comprehensively said to be as the mirror of individuals’ capability of performing the work. On
candidates side good CV helps the one in getting a best suitable job by simply convincing
employer about their work. In the learning phase of my coursework my teacher’s have taught me
to learn to make effective CV that could place remarkable impression on the employer. With the
help of module can easily make effective CV in the near future and get a good job that ultimately
supports acquiring better job.
TASK 3
SUMMARY
On the basis of my personal experience related to the University campus, it can be said that I
have gone through range of experiences which have provided opportunity to determine my own
strong as well as weak skills. It further supports me out in attaining success as I am now able to
enhance my academic as well as professional person. As per my own experience related to the
learning at University it can be said that I am good command over communication skill which
further supports me out in acknowledge business growth in rightful manner,. On the other hand,
it can further say that good communication skill also strengthen presentation skill. Whereas, I
also got know about my weak areas such as less effective decision making and team working
skills.
