INTRODUCTION
To stay top in the competition, it is quite necessary to determine the weakness
and then take action plan for the same. In the same way, preparing for the success, it is
essential to identify the key strength as well as weakness, so that it will help to lead
towards success. The report will describe the reflection on group presentation using
Gibbs model because the model provides structure to learning from experience.
Further, report will elaborate some areas that needs o be developed further and
describe the action plan through which the weaknesses are improved.
Reflection on group presentation
Using Gibbs model, the reflection can be presented in better way because it is
the framework that examine the experience and also provide the cyclic nature which
lends itself to repeated experience (Bass and et.al., 2019). Therefore, it covers 6 stages
in order to reflect the experience, which is as mention below:
Description: for the assessed written work assignment, I am working in the
group of three of three person in order to present the presentation in the classroom.
Earlier when the group is made we did not know each other and it is quite difficult to
manage the work accordingly. So we take time to involve every members to involve in a
team so that we perform better in presentation. However, when we sat down it was the
clear for the first time to introduce ourself so that we can proceed to next stage because
we have not enough time for practice. I was so impressed because in the first meeting,
my teammates said their strength as well as weaknesses and then assign the roles as
per the strength. Overall, it was the great presentation because we learn so many new
things.
Feeling: I was quite happy as well as excited because it was my first
presentation and I did not feel comfortable to interact with new members. At the time of
deciding the scheduling of meeting and before we came together and realized that we
all have our own work which needs to be done and thus, 2 of them said they are not
able to meet and this makes me frustrated. But I did not left the work alone and this
thing make me motivate because I have good critical understanding that helps to get the
work done faster. After it, I thought that it was not possible to meet so we make whats

app group in which we discuss the project and our views as well. At that time, I realize
that my team have intelligent team members because at the end of the day each
member was satisfy because of completing task on time. These entire situation makes
me satisfied that we put some effort for completing the project on time.
Evaluation: during the entire journey, I also evaluated that each member of team
produce the best quality of work and even they all meet the deadline as well. I also
overcome my fear of interaction and this is all because of team members. I also
evaluated that each of the member contribute positively to the group's work ethics but
the only thing I did not like is the lack of coordination and to overcome this, we start
taking in group. I also learn new words and new method of presentation which helps us
to present our presentation in better way. Even though when I feel low or demotivated,
my team member support me and motivate me too. This shows that we all contribute
the situation is positive manner.
Analysis: During the whole situation, I analysed that our team working goes well
and it is so because we assign the roles as per the people's self identified strength and I
like to work in this situation where the strength match. The same is in our group where
each member contribute perfectly in the situation and I also realized that working in the
team is more beneficial as compared to working individual because it helps me to save
time and explore different things that helps in our future project. Even I also analysed
through literature review that by using Belbin team role model, I can manage the team
and also assign the roles as per their strength (Reljić, Pajnkihar and Fekonja, 2019).
Further, I also realized that working in the group also raise different opinion and this
helps to raise our knowledge and critical thinking as well. Through the entire project, I
also think that being aware of group think in the future will be more helpful in a group
work and also make decision in better way as well.
Conclusion: In this process, I concluded that working in a group and dividing the
work as per the own strength will help to complete the defined work in better way and
also attain the aim and objectives as well. In the same way, I also concluded that
working in a group was my best experience I ever felt because I also uses model in
order to manage the team in better way and then realized that we can easily overcome
the challenge when we are working in a team because of exploring ans using different

point of views and ideas that leads to attain the work in positive way. There may by
situation where we all are not agreed but developing group think will help to make sure
that working in a team is better than individual.
Action plan: In future when I will work in the team, I will try to present myself in
the same way which my team members present themselves, such that by talking about
my strength. Further, I start working to improve my communication skill so that it will be
easy to present my views easily (Stonehouse, 2019). I will also present my work in
confident way and also develop critical thinking that will be more beneficial for
conducting future presentation in better way. This help me to provide best results in
better way and also make others comfortable as well
Skills need to be developed further
Skills is the array of abilities which tackle procedure of taking and organizing in
new information, dealing with assessments or retaining information (Choy and Chua,
2019). There are the following skills that need to develop further:
Communication-
Being capable to communicate effectively is one of the most essential skills
which help to build good relationship with others. While working in a team or group of
peoples I cannot be able to communicate with my co-workers effectively during making
group presentation. I am able to conduct written communication, but in verbal which
effect my performance as well as working abilities. Verbal communication is necessary
as it helps to share information, ideas and new concept to other peoples effectively in
which I am unable. I need to share data in context of preparing group presentation but
due to lack of verbal communication I cannot do so. I want to develop this skill further.
Leadership-
Leadership skills help to manage teams and projects, motivation, communication,
innovation, collaboration and inspiring others is included in leadership skills. Due to lack
of leadership abilities I cannot be able to work in group presentation because without
direction and guidance skill it is impossible to provide appropriate guidance. Lack of
leadership causes many issues like unmet targets, I am unable to take correct decision
due to lack of this skill as it effect my professional as well as personal career growth and

working efficiency the most. I cannot be able to give direction to my team members
while preparing group presentation which stem from my own lack of vision.
Time management-
Time management is ability to use one time productively or effectively especially
at work (Mazutis and Slawinski, 2015). It is the procedure of planning and organizing
how to divide time between particular activities. Due to lack of time management skills I
am unable to managed my time and also be enables to separate between activity of
group presentation and other as well at workplace. I cannot be able to manage time,
with inadequate time management skill I cannot make sufficient time to spend with
friends and family. I need to develop this area further which is beneficial for career
growth and success.
Critical thinking-
It is objective evaluation and analysis of the issues in order to form appropriate
judgement. Due to lack of critical thinking ability I can not be able to analyse information
objectively and make the reasoned judgement. I am unable to sources evaluate such
sources like facts, research findings, data etc. used in group presentation. I am not a
good critical thinker as it effect task given by management. I cannot drawn reasonable
conclusion from set of discriminate and information between less useful and useful
details to accomplish presentation or make decision related to it. I am enabled to
effectively examine information or other things due to lack of critical thinking.
Interpersonal skills-
Interpersonal abilities highly sought by employees, I cannot be able to work in a
team due to poor teamwork skills (Mitchell, 2017). I am unable to work in team in
appropriate way which I need to develop further. This skill refer to one ability to
communicate effectively with other group of peoples or person be it professionally or
personally. Teamwork ability while working in team for making group presentation is
essential, but to inappropriate ability I cannot be able to accomplish my work on time
and does not achieve better results than other.

From above, it has been summarized that during making group presentation
there are several skills required. While preparing presentation in reflective way it has
been described that person learns different types of things which is essential for them.
Communication, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, leadership and time management
abilities is important to be developed for further. Furthermore, with the help of
Professional development plan a person can be able to developed or improve their skills
along with apply different types of strategies or plan.
