 In the hierarchy of specialist nurses thee status is to static as the different
role within their East Kent hospital is being played by each specialist
nurses.
 The nurses are generally experienced and are employed at least on band 6.
 It is a managerial level to support the senior managers.

JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITY
 I can provide professional nursing leadership and guidance, clinical advice and
management it will improve the care quality performance and clinical activity.
 Consideration of areas like patient safety, health care interventions, patient
experience is essential.
 It is essential to create patient friendly environment

 It is essential for providing support in urgent and emergency situation as per needs
and priority
 Services as per health care needs must be served, I must understand the levels of
complexity.

 The use of clinical and staff resources need to be maximised so that practices need to be

WORKING IN THEATRES
 Safety of patients and quality of care - Wherever improvements or innovations are
found in healthcare and patient safety. In this, I need to focus on the background
of effective clinical leadership.
 A Supportive Work Environment- I can inspire and enthuse others in order to
meet the standards of theatre
 More efficient use of resources- Successfully managing resources (both human
and economic) are important leadership competencies.

• I can improve the work standards with consideration of policies and procedures.
