Role of health and social care worker
 Social care refer to the help provided by health & social care employees in terms of
emotional and physical support.
 They play vital role in society, on the basis of few pointers the main role of these people
were described where their help is needed.
 Health and social care worker provide care for people who are facing health issues and
challenges of old age.
 They work within its role in context to medication management and to assist with
medications as part of patients personal care, once people had assessed by registered doctor
or nurse.
 Help people with personal care practices such as dressing, washing and eating food.
 Their support will greatly cater for well-being of overall community or society around them,
social & health care workers act as brokers, friends and advocates along with health care
aides to patients with different needs.

Responsibilities of health and social
care worker-
 Employee in this sector is responsible for providing families, groups and individuals help with
psychosocial support required to cope with acute, terminal and chronic illnesses.
 Accountabilities include advising patients family, provide people counselling as well as guidance,
making referrals for other health care services.
 They are responsible for taking good care of people who are facing problems from different
health issues like disability.
 Worker are highly responsible to work directly with one or more patients to support them in day
to day aspect of their daily lives, making people able to live as independently as possible.
 Those people who need support and care at homes, they employed health and social care workers
because of their high level of experience and abilities.
 They also have additional accountability such as chance treatment plan to comply with
modification in patients status.
