Network Requirements
The company XYZ needs to setup LAN networks in their branches at the
locations of Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney.
The company network has to provide network connectivity within the own
LAN, LAN of other branches and Internet servers (Habibullah, Rondeau and
Georges 2018).
The LAN network must assign IP addresses to 63 devices in Sydney, 53 in
Melbourne and 43 in Adelaide through subnet A, subnet B and subnet C
respectively.
The router of the Sydney network forms an interconnect with the routers of
Melbourne and Adelaide by using two IP addresses of subnet D for connecting
each router.
All hosts must have LAN connectivity and Internet access.
The LAN networks must wireless connectivity to supported devices through
wireless access points.

Network Architecture and
Methodology
The network follows a hierarchical
design.
Network architectures based on such
design help save router ports and
interfaces.
This kind of designs helps in making
easy modifications to the network.
Networks based on this architecture
can also scale or expand easily.

Network Topology
Each of the LANs follow top down
networking approach.
Different networking devices like
routers, layer 3 and layer 2 switches
form the core, distribution and access
respectively.
Routers occupy the core layer, L3
switches occupy distribution layer
and L2 switches form the access
layer (Bassey, Ogbulezie & Effiom,
2016).
Wireless access points ensure
smartphones can also access
network services.
