BACKGROUND TO THE PROBLEM
Exams, disagreements with family or
friends, changing schools, or relocating
can all make young people feel anxious
and melancholy. If the young person's
sadness lasts for weeks or months and
interferes with his or her daily activities,
he or she may be depressed.
