INTRODUCTIONDevelopment of health is a prime priority for every individual in order to live their life inmuch better manner by accomplishing their day to day activities. However, health and social careis a term which relates with those services that are provided by healthcare associations to theneedy people such as; aged citizens, poor people and so on (Purdie, Dudgeonand Walker, 2010).Therefore, assignment is going to highlight various legal norms, legislation, provisions, rules andregulations set by governing bodies for controlling wrongful conducts from health careassociations. However, case study based on two care homes will discussed in the project forunderstanding the influence of several elements related with health care practices on users andcompany too. For example; procedure followed by care homes for protecting patients, employeesand various other member related with the association. Number of theories, effectiveness ofinter-professional and several other matters related with development of social care workplaceare further outlined in the project. Hence, main objective of the whole assignment is to throwmajor lights on numerous of Principles related with health and social care practice. CASE STUDY 11.1 Principles of support applied for ensuring caring of individuals in health and social careAccording to given case study, ICON Residential care home which engaged in providingcare services to dementia people that is explicitly rely on upholding and encouraging humanrights of individuals. However, patients are not able to acquire necessary care facilities becauseof staff dilemma as they get confused about their duty due the presence of various patients. Thuscare Home needs to follow all the necessary provisions, rules and regulations whileaccomplishing their organizational functions. For example; daily supervision of staff, yearlyappraisals by having fixed targets which permit management team for monitoring the progressand continuous development of staff members(Aveyard, 2014). Their main objective is to offerperson centred approach to those people who needed instant services by implementing thisframework at workplace. Apart from this, care home also requisite to follow some of thenecessary principles in order to make sure that every individual can acquired care in health andsocial care practice is discussed as follows- 1

Increasing choice and control- As per this element, home care needs to establishrelationship between health care professionals as well as with senior citizens andencourage them to behave actively in managing their well-being. Care- Needs to handle with full of love and affection.Promotion of health- First or foremost motive of care provider is to take care the healthof users because he/she is liable for being a proactive approach as well as take all thepossible initiatives for promoting health. As a result, this will be beneficial for health ofvarious individuals which are acquiring care. Needs to adopt whole person-approach- Employees of ICON Residential care homeneeds to consider all the necessary elements before deciding the process of careproviding. It helps them in minimizing probabilities of mistakes while giving care to thepatients. Risk taking responsibility-Care provider of ICON Residential Care home is responsiblefor motivating old age people in order to get involved in those activities which are full ofrisk. In fact, proper care must be taken while performing risk taking activity in order toavoid harm (Reevesand et. al., 2011). 1.2 Procedure for protecting clients, patients and colleagues from harmAs per the report of CQC, Rupali Care homes is following all the necessary procedures,rules and regulations for minimizing the probabilities of major risk and harm. In fact, numbers ofsmall and large care homes are established at public place for providing best suitable services tothe whole society. Their main objective is to protect final users, clients and staff members fromgetting affected by harmful things. Therefore, some of the essential procedure which is followedby Rupali Care home for preventing their clients, patients and colleagues from harmful activityare described below- Supporting health care needs- An organization needs to encourage to offer basic healthrequirements to every individual whomsoever are having connectivity with care homes.Some of the users are gone through various basis issues such as; hypertension, diabetesand various other health problems which affect them slowly. Therefore, it is essential forcare provider to make sure that all of them take their regular medicines on time and havebalanced or nutritious diet (Fetters, Curryand Creswell, 2013). 2
