INTRODUCTIONThe policies, legislation and codes of practices are designed in order to maintaindiscipline in the healthcare organisation and to provide quality services to the patients (Munn-Giddings and Winter, 2013). In accordance with this context, the report will help inunderstanding the impact of policy, legislation, regulation, codes of practices which are made inhealthcare organisation. Further, the theories that underpin health and social care practices willbe examined in this report. The roles and responsibilities of team leader working in healthcareorganisation will be assessed in this assignment.TASK 22.1 Five important Code of PracticeAs a social care team leader, the code of practice will help in providing the knowledge and rolewhich is expected to played in the health care organisation. The five important code of practiceswhich follows in Residential Care Home are listed below:1.Protect rights and promote interest of service users and carers: The code of practicewill assist the health and social care workers to protect the rights and provide themeffective quality of service.2.Strive to establish and maintain the trust and confidence of service users and carers:The health and social care worker must build the relationship of trust with the patient inorder to increase his or her confidence (Aveyard, 2014). This can be done by beinghonest, making clear communication with the user, etc. 3.Promote the independence of the service users while protecting them: By informing theimmediate supervisor about the inappropriate practice of social care worker a team leadercan promote independence of the service of users.4.Respect the rights of service users: Recognising the rights of service users and helpingthem by addressing their issues, social and healthcare workers can respect their rightsefficiently (Skills for health, 2017).5.Uphold public trust and confidence in social care services: By not abusing, neglectingor harming service users, carers and colleagues, a social worker can uphold the publictrust and confidence.Thus, these code of practice will assist the team leader and new social care worker by providingthem precise guidelines they must follow appropriately.1
