1PRINCIPLES OF MANAGEMENT1.Leadership is required at every level in the organization. A leader or in context of anorganization, a manager is a representative of an organization. The role played by aleader in an organization is of reconciling and integration of the personal goals of theemployees with the goals of the organization. He plays a supportive role so that thedifficulties faced at the workplace by the employees do not de-motivate them (Shah &Mulla, 2013). Leaders are friend, philosopher and guide of the employees, they listen tothe grievances of the employees, they advise them in times of confusion and chaos andthey guide their path leading them to efficiency, which good for the employees atindividual level and for the organization as a whole. The leadership style of Bill gateswas participative leadership style because he believes in participation of the employeesfor the good of the organization. The leadership style of Steve Jobs is autocraticleadership style, as he believes that the leader is the main person who is in charge of alldecisions within the organization. The leadership styles of both the leaders arecompletely different be said just the opposite of each other leadership style.Centralization of authority can be seen the management style of Steve Jobs as he believedthat it is very important to have command over the employees (Harold Koontz & HeinzWeihrich, 2012).2. The style of Steve Jobs was dictatorial and authoritative style, the management the teamwith an authority, some even called him ruthless because of his management andleadership style. He believed that people are needed to show what they are supposed todo. The centralization of power was evident in the management styles he used. He alwaysemphasized on efficiency and that is the result that the company became pioneer. He usedmasterful stories to motivate his employees, he gave examples to inspire his team to give
