REFLECTIVE ACCOUNTFrom the group presentation about the new product of Nivea cream, my different skillsdeveloped. First of all, gathering statistics about Nivea gave me an opportunity to work withother teammates which increased my communication skills. Each member of the team was goodat different aspect. So I got to learn about various other skills from them. Researching aboutNivea increased my knowledge about the company that how it successfully delivers qualityproducts to the customers because of the natural ingredients used by it. While working within ateam, I identified leadership skill that how one should lead a team to achieve an objective.Whenever a team is assigned with a particular activity, all the team members are required toeffectively contribute for task competition. While making presentation, my team mates were verycollaborative and because of effective collaboration the task was successfully achieved.. Finding facts about Nivea was typical since original information was to be used. So thisactivity allowed me to enhance my researching ability. This ability would prove to be quitebeneficial for me in my future projects. The more research I do my knowledge will be enhancedwhich will help me in building my career. There were some difficulties as well. When analysiswas carried out on Nivea cream, with respect to the target group, no one was able to decide thatwhich category should be preferred. Various sorts of arguments were made on selecting thetarget group that should be focussed. I finally gave suggestion that middle class women have todo lots of activities to manage their family because of which they do not get time to think abuttheir skin. So targeting them would be beneficial for the product as well as company. Thissuggestion given by me impressed others. Finally, all the members were satisfied with it. This actentailed motivation in me which further helped me in making presentation.Assessment of the market mix for Nivea cream proved to be challenging. Each memberhad different view points. Getting to the final conclusion was not an easy task. In order to solvethis, voting was conducted based on selection of each parameter. Finally, the choice to whichmajority agreed were selected. This act gave the idea that how to make effective decision in caseof any dispute. This research also helped me in enhancing my professionalism. Interacting withothers enhanced my interpersonal skills as well. I got to know about various principles ofmarketing and how to apply them in accordance with a specific company. The way othermembers used to explain their view points helped me in increasing my learning skills as well.
