PRINCIPLES OF PROJECT MANAGEMENT
1. Introduction
Management of a specific project work is termed as an important practice for starting,
planning, implementing, managing and closing a team work for achievement of each and
every previously determined goals and for fulfilling significant criteria of success in given
time period (Harrison & Lock, 2017). One of the most significant goals to manage any
project is to produce the most unique product, which complies with all requirements of a
client. Few important methodologies for selection of the project that are required to be taken
into consideration for this particular project work (Crawford, 2014). The report will outline a
detailed analysis of methods for selecting projects as well as project documents that are being
utilized for Uber case study.
2. Discussion
2.1 Brief Discussion of the Given Scenario
One of the most significant and popular cab organizations within the world is Uber.
They are building new application for the drivers to provide them with utmost advantages and
also for reducing the issues and complexities faced by them. Moreover, they are trying to
keep a pace with high competition and hence designing the application to make it more
efficient. They have started to consider the suggestions of their drivers and thus a new and
innovative designing process is being considered by bringing technology of builders. They
have started a new campaign called 180 days of change. Furthermore, they have also
improved the payment of the drivers and having a hope that their profit would be increased.
The new application would follow their drivers in finding out the customers, providing timely
rides and also delivering food to them. However, this application has not worked properly for
larger cities, thus they have again taken the decision of reverting their change.
