INTRODUCTION
In present time, there are a lot of challenges are faced by an individual during academic
and also while starting professional career. It is analyzed that there are different kind of issues
such as debate challenge, presentation issues, hotel challenge and more are more likely to face by
an individual (Kainzbauer and Hunt, 2016). However, these challenges can be deal by using
skills such as communication skill, time management, business acumen and more. The present
report is based on the challenges which are often faced by a person while undertaking different
academic and professional task. Further, it also includes skills which are required to get cope up
with these challenges in an effective manner. Lastly, a detailed personal development plan has
also been included in the following report.
Challenges
Debate challenges
This challenge is related to the issues which are often faced by students which keeping
their view point in front of others. During debate the major issue is related to information
gathering. For a good debate, it is important to have necessary information about the topic in
order to make relevant arguments during debate (Nasser-Abu Alhija and Fresko, 2020). Further,
communication can also become a challenge is debate. During debate, it is imperative to have
good communication in order to put better impressions on others. I faced a lot issues while
taking part in debate competition in University. I used to prepare a lot of strategies in order to
perform good during debate competition.
Presentation challenge
It is the most common issues which is faced by individuals. During presentation, it is
necessary to have good confidence level in order to deliver effective presentation and provide the
relevant information to audience. In business, presentation is a crucial part of branding and
promotion. However, there are a lot of issues faced by me while delivering presentation. These
issues are related to communication skills, lack of confidence, hesitation, fear of public speaking
and more. Due to these issues, sometimes I am not able to deliver effective presentation which is
important for growth in academics as well as professional career.
